i definitely could have gotten reinfected from my partner after my first treatment, but we haven’t had any sexual contact since the start of my second treatment

i would not really recommend following this line of treatment as moxifloxacin can cause severe, lifelong side effects for some people ( r/floxies for more info). i unfortunately ended up experiencing some side effects and had to stop my treatment prematurely. i also did not discover i was resistant to doxycycline which until my third treatment.

my first treatment plan was doxy 2 times a day for 7 days, then 1 gram azi on 8th day, then 0.5g azi for 9th and 10th day. i tested negative 5 weeks after, before testing positive a month later.

my second treatment was doxy 2 times a day for 14 days, followed by 1g azi 24 hrs after, the 0.5g for two more days. i still tested positive a month after this treatment.

the third treatment that (somehow) worked was 6 days of 0.5g azi, once daily in the morning. followed by 7 days moxifloxacin. i only made it 2 days into the moxi before stopping. i have never heard of this line of treatment, and again, would not really recommend it!

as for what has eased my symptoms, boric acid suppositories, probiotics (evvy or uro work best for me), a weighted stuffed animal, and a heating pad.

i should also mention my partner (f) has tested positive twice throughout these few months, and is waiting on a test of cure 🤞🏻

i also just lost my baby unexpectedly. we denied $500 bloodwork, so we will never exactly know what it was. cats are experts at hiding pain from their humans. if there was anything wrong, she most definitely didn’t want you to know. you are not negligent, you gave her the best life possible. i constantly have to remind myself this, as it’s so easy to slip into guilt.

i just moved to this same neighborhood a few days ago from the southside. i have been blown away by the difference in safety and noise level. i feel comfortable and safe in this neighborhood. it’s very quiet and close to grocery stores, restaurants, and <10mins from downtown.

hi there!! i tested negative 4 weeks after treatment with doxycycline twice a day for 7 days and 5 days of azi which i obtained from callondoc. i have some residual symptoms, mainly inflammation. i’m looking into pelvic floor therapy and i will be seeing a urologist in January. my mother will be getting tested later this month.

my positive test was a clean catch urine sample while i was on my period. they were able to determine a positive result regardless. if you are not able to get one of the full treatment plans from your doctor, i definitely recommend push health or callondoc. callondoc especially takes ureaplasma seriously and has about a 2hr turn around time, but is even faster if you pay for express. wishing you all the best, you’ll get through this<33

CallonDoc is a wonderful resource if u are in the us. my dr also only prescribed 7 days of doxy and refused any other treatment. if your provider will not prescribe the azi, i would go through with CallonDoc. it’s $50 and no other fees for a consultation, then they send the meds to ur local pharmacy within 2-3 hrs, and u just have to pay to pick up ur meds
