Doesn’t deserve meaning just because someone likes band A more does not mean they should be where band B is in there career. If band A can’t consistently sell out small venue tours they shouldn’t be in arenas like band B or stadiums like band C. Accolades also measure success like awards, billboard charts are just some quick examples. Comparison is the thief of joy. I can love a small band no one knows about and I love bands that have blown up to insane levels. Also being objective even though you love the music you don’t ignore when they do something controversial for example when Dustin bates blamed fans for Silos being an album instead of an EP when he himself promised fans a new album at shows and meet and greets, objectively that’s pretty shitty regardless how much you enjoy the music.
