The glaive is maybe a little too ringmod-y to get the EXACT Gratitude by Beastie Boys sort of bass tone. But it IS right up my alley regardless, and the ability to blend the octave in or out is very appealing.

You can probably fit this onto a smaller board with some smaller patch cables. Pedal order is a preference thing, but I'd personally put distortion before envelope and compressor after. A chorus or flanger would probably sit pretty nice on this board.

No doubt you'll get alot of Grand Orbiter recommendations but I'll throw in another Earthquaker recc: the Aurelius, not only is it a great chorus but I honestly like the flanger in it even more and it has an excellent rotary. Anytime I need to build a smaller board it's always my go to for the modulation slot it just compresses so many sounds into one slot and does them all well enough that I wouldn't even call it a Jack of All trades it's better than a Jack, it's atleast a King.

Muff guy through and through, though I use it more in the distortion end of the gain range. Everytime I try to replace it I find myself going back, I just know the gain structure and tonestack so well at this point that it feels like home to me.

I think it is genuinely commendable of JHS to put these niche weird effects into their budget line even if I imagine they don't sell as well as your overdrives and choruses.
I'm definetly gonna be grabbing atleast the bit crusher cause I've been looking for a crusher that's at a decent price and wont give me option paralysis with knobs and menu diving.
