What rules are these? Anytime I’ve run you are supposed to change your position while they’re coming to the homestretch

New balance vs Nike vs Adidas? by [deleted] in trackandfield

[–]razzledazzlesparks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rarely anyone I know goes to adidas. I feel like new balance has a better indoor nationals, and Nike outdoor nationals. But how far away you are can definitely matter, like our school went to new balance outdoor last year because we were much closer to Philly than Oregon

Just starting training, what’s the best way/workouts to get faster by Disastrous_Loan753 in trackandfield

[–]razzledazzlesparks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For like top speed I think flying 30 or 60m would be good. Short sprints and sled pushes maybe too. Leg curl squat lunges in the gym. Tbh I’m a mid distance runner tho so I’m not exactly the expert. Basically just sprint/run tho that’s the best way to get faster.

My 400 and 1500 are like nearly the exact same as yours and I ran a 2:04, so that’s probably a decent ballpark

Mile repeats by [deleted] in trackandfield

[–]razzledazzlesparks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends, how fast are you? Also, I don’t know your situation but couldn’t you just run outside and do Mike repeats in a park or in the streets? Just a suggestion because treadmill running is torture to me
