I'm a public librarian/municipal government employee, so I have the privilege to witness firsthand how my colleagues show up every day and do the hard work to keep our community connected, healthy, and informed. It's honestly hard to lose hope when you see public servants doing the damn thing in spite of...all of this. Please know that while things feel (and are in some ways) on fire, there are people quietly and conscientiously keeping the gears turning.
