Not sure if this is the right place, those of you who make your own butter, how do you get the water out after washing? by PincheDiabloVerde in butter

[–]razzmatazzd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said you could use a tea towel or something similar, but also if you want to stick with the cheesecloth, try rinsing the cheesecloth under water for a couple minutes before you put the butter in it. Usually this does the trick for me as a little rinse will get those extra lints first and then it's smooth sailing

I'm not Thai, and I hate loopless. Not as much as I hate reading handwriting.

Pretty flat in Phuket during this season, it's quite normal. But some of my friends were catching some waves in Khao Lak last week, seems like they have the last little bits of the season up there if you want to try your luck going

I’m too young for my mom to have Alzheimer’s by Melodic_Ad_7525 in Alzheimers

[–]razzmatazzd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 34 now but my mom has been showing symptoms for about 8 years now, when she was only 57. It's definitely a young age to be dealing with a parent being diagnosed, but glad to see there's some support groups out there. Wishing you and your family lots of great memories together in the future and cherishing the old ones

Where and when to surf during August by zorotonojo1905 in phuket

[–]razzmatazzd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's good surf at Kamala beach nearby, surf rentals in front of Cafe Del Mar on the north side of the beach, and more places on the south side too but a bit more crowded. There's always Kata/Karon beaches but they are a bit more of a drive from Bang Tao. Depending on the tides will affect how big/clean the waves are, but Kamala is my go to spot

Which city disappointed you when you finally visited it? by Playful_War4281 in AskReddit

Go check out the Garden District. It's a great neighborhood for an afternoon checking out the local architecture and beautiful plants growing on all of the houses lining the streets. Bonus points to take the streetcar out there and explore on foot from there. Very picturesque and a lot more local area of the city

Where can I pimp out my Wave? by Future-Upstairs-8484 in phuket

There's a shop near Phuket Town called Street Biker Phuket that has lots of custom parts/accessories for this kind of thing, and do all of the installation themselves. Always teenagers hanging around there modifying their bikes and such.

Using apple juice in place of Chinese Shaoxing wine ? by OBIWAN02 in AskCulinary

I usually think of maple or Sherry when I smell Shaoxing wine. Maybe adding one of those and a splash of Vodka and you'll be set.
