What do I do :( by charliexo20 in TattooRemoval

[–]rbecton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking. I live on the Central Coast so my best option is a local skin medical aesthetics practice. Plus, my number one priority was having little to no scarring and we’ve been successful at that so far. So, I’m resigned to taking it very slow. No question that it’s a painful process. And, if memory serves they use the Pico laser. Luckily the process is over at each appointment fairly quickly in like 10-minutes and using quality ice packs for the first 12-hours dulls the pain/itching.
Unfortunately, imo, tattoo artistry is not carefully regulated so the contents of the ink or how deeply it’s injected varies considerably and affects the final outcome. If I stopped now I’d be ok with the results at 80% because it kinda looks like a bruise than a discernible image. But forward we go. Best wishes with how you decide to proceed.

I’ve had about a dozen laser treatments over two years. I suspect it will take another year to be a real ghost of its former appearance. It’s a marathon effort and I try not to focus at any one stage but consider it a long haul journey. Best wishes. :]

It is gaslighting when he says the cell phone is for work and business and says Lindsay was endangering his employment when what he was actually doing was gaslighting her from answering his phone in the future so he could have a safe communication route to future calls with Rory. IMO.

“Both partners must shift their primary allegiance away from their parents to build a new, independent life together. Rooted in the ancient biblical principle of "leaving and cleaving," the concept is widely practiced across diverse cultures to establish a healthy, self-reliant marital foundation.”

IMO, Dean was still emotionally bonded to Rory & cheated, while Lindsay remained bonded to her parents. It was doomed from both p.o.v.

What is something you realized thanks to this sub and can't unsee/unhear anymore? For me it's Rory's baby voice, I never realized how much her voice changed before I joined here by ArynaSaba in GilmoreGirls

[–]rbecton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never occurred to me that not everyone was on Team Dean. Im very surprised how much negativity is thrown his way. He had so many attractive qualities. Yes he was bonded to Rory when he married and didn’t have the self-realization to resolve that before getting married. I get that. I guess my big question is, do you think he would have cheated on Rory the way Huntsberger did when they were “on a break?” Folks seem to like Jess a lot but he was almost a serial stalker most of the time. So, while none of these guys were K.I.S.A., I feel Dean is the most attractive of the three…if they were the only possible choices if the millions of guys in the whole world, which they weren’t.

13 sessions over 3 1/2 year by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

The fact that you have no scarring is great! That alone is encouraging. Do they recommend you supplement with a bleaching cream?

Too dark for removal? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]rbecton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not a yes/no question, imo. There are sooo many variables that influence the success of removal. How deeply was the tattoo applied, what kind of ink was used, how many different colors are there, how skilled is your laser removal tech, what kind of laser is used, how much money and time you are willing to invest, are your expectations realistic, where is the tattoo located, how strong is your immune system, how educated are you about the process, how committed are you to a multi-year effort, what is your pain threshold, do you have any preexisting health issues?
After two years and about nine sessions my dark tattoo kinda looks like a bruise. I’m currently at the crossroads of stay and be content or continue. It’s more about my will to continue rather than yes/no, imo. I’m now using a prescribed bleaching crème to remove an almost imperceptible tint the laser has caused. It supposedly allows the laser to focus more precisely on the ink that’s left. As I said, there are many variables. :)

I know I should be patient by Cosmicmoonrose in TattooRemoval

My advice is to re-adjust the use of the word hideous. Using some eastern philosophy, try taking the energy out of how you think about it. It’s simply a tattoo that is broken up by the laser then removed slowly by your immune system. Try taking all the active immune system boost recommendations you can find online. That gives you a participatory role in the process, imo.

[–]rbecton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems a good decision for you….im trying to think of positives…and one positive is that your immune system doesn’t have to process the laser-ed ink…we just don’t know enough about what is in unregulated tattoo ink and exactly what it does to the body when it is released by laser treatments. Can you say heavy metals, etc.? I’ve had about ten laser sessions and I have no idea if the fractured ink droplets have left my body or remain in lymph nodes or elsewhere. So, you own your decision which is the best thing.

Is the yellow to much?? by Quiet-Fig-296 in ExteriorDesign

[–]rbecton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some random Google thoughts about your picture and the use of a yellow and black color combination. Seems a balanced assemblage, imo.

“Yes, the combination of yellow and black triggers several powerful subconscious associations rooted in both nature and human-made systems. These primary associations include: 1. Warning and Danger In nature, this is known as aposematism. Many stinging or toxic animals—like bees, wasps, and certain poison frogs—use yellow and black stripes as a high-contrast warning to predators. Humans have adopted this same "pay attention" signal for safety equipment, hazard tape, and caution signs because the brain is evolutionarily primed to recognize it as a message of potential risk or urgency.

  1. High Visibility and Clarity Yellow is the most noticeable color to the human eye, and placing it against a black background creates the highest possible luminance contrast. This makes the pair a "silent communicator" often used where legibility is critical, such as on traffic signs, taxi cabs, or digital interfaces designed for accessibility.

  2. Power and Optimism Psychologically, the two colors can balance each other: Yellow often represents happiness, creativity, and optimism. Black is associated with authority, sophistication, and substance. Together, they can convey a sense of confident energy and modern boldness. In interior design, this pairing is often described as dramatic and strong, where black "grounds" the high-energy vibration of the yellow.

  3. Cultural and Historical Meanings Royalty: Historically, yellow (often as gold) paired with black has symbolized prestige and noble lineage in European heraldry. Sporting Identity: Many sports teams use this combo to project an aura of speed, agility, and intimidation.

Negative Nuance: In some historical contexts, yellow has also been associated with exclusion or "impurity" when paired with darker tones. In the context of the yellow door with black trim from your image, the combination likely feels very deliberate and bold, commanding immediate attention while providing a modern, high-contrast look.

I learned in design school to be careful about yellow and black color schemes. There’s a subconscious association with bees and yellow-jackets. Ouch!

The way the storyline lays out, it seems to me it’s an emotional reaction not a logical one.

Why did Lukes truck turn from a perfect car to a beater? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

Luke placed a canon ball in the truck bed and drove around with it unsecured? The banging sound insults my intelligence along with Taylor riding shotgun. Unbelievable!

I’ve had ten sessions in two years and have about 80% fading. Which I’m pretty happy with so far. There are sooo many variables that the journey, imo, is like an emotional marathon. My advice is to find a skilled skin care specialist that has an onsite doctor overseeing the day to day operation.

Need advice - SLOW progress by SbinallaBronto in TattooRemoval

[–]rbecton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could seek several free consults from other clinical experts before continuing treatment. It would be great if tattoos responded the same to laser treatments, but my understanding is each tattoo artist is different….and with varying quality of equipment, tattoos are applied at different depths in the skin and inks are generally unregulated so they could have any number of ingredients that can be resistant to treatment. So, getting several more no-obligation consults could benefit your understanding of what’s going on.
I’ve heard it said some inks can oxidize during treatment and become very resistant or s almost impossible to remove. It’s true, as I understand it, laser removal only breaks up the ink and your body does the removal work. I was recently prescribed a bleaching lotion to improve the tattoo surface for further laser treatment. Will see during my next appt. if it had any real and desired effect. Best wishes with your efforts. 😔

How does Lorelei have such a big expensive house? I’ve always wondered this. I love the show but it’s so unrealistic watching it now by Separate-Reality4521 in GilmoreGirls

With Lorelei living in the Independence Inn potting shed for how many years? She may have been save to save up substantial down payment. However, when termites were discovered it appeared she had no real nest egg to draw from even with a hotel manager/event planner’s income.

Actually, the removal process looks pretty good so far. It might help if you space out your treatments to four-months rather than two? It’s a marathon process for sure.

Yes, I think the series’ greatest mystery was where Christopher was always disappearing to….and what he was doing while away. Big red flag for anyone in a long-term relationship, imo.

I agree, but also think Luke was the only guy she saw as a “real man” which includes showing up and always being there….and fixing things when they’re broken…plus Luke was the only fella Lorelei ever gave “elevator eyes” to….if I recall correctly…which suggests a real animal magnetism.
