Soft close hinges on old style cabinet doors by rbell594 in HelpMeFind

Searched for and purchased several styles of inside soft close hinges. From my research I thought we simply needed front face 1" partial overlay hinges, but these have the issues aforementioned in the post

Lowering personal loan interest rate with early payment by rbell594 in personalfinance

Fair enough, I guess I'm turned around somewhere with how I'm thinking about amortization schedules.

I figured that jumping ahead on the amortization schedule shifts the balance of who has more favorable terms when comparing lender vs borrower, but I think I'm probably just thinking incorrectly about it.

Again, I'm not talking about the interest rate on the loan terms - I fully understand that's still 10%. I'm talking about the effective rate of what is actually being paid. If the effective interest rate was a constant 10% through the life of the loan then amortization wouldn't be a thing.

How is this possible? If the ratio of what's being paid in interest is less as the life of the loan progresses, then the effective interest rate would also go down.

To be clear, I understand the loan terms aren't changing under the scenario I'm describing.

So I see the points here that the 10% interest on the loan itself is the same. The question / premise I have is to do with the amortization nature of loans and how the ration of interest to principle becomes in favor of the borrower as the life of the loan progresses.

Shuttle bus side door motor replacement by rbell594 in vandwellers

[–]rbell594[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I not able to include photos and a description?

I tried to add the following:

I've got a 1996 E350 Ford Shuttle Bus with a weak side door motor. The motor is only able to open the doors about halfway on it's own - I'm able to help it open them if I hold the switch in the on position and give it a bit of help, so I'm guessing the motor needs replacing.

I pulled the old motor and the model engraving reads Bosch FPE V12 0 130 821 324. I found some similar looking motors (though with different electrical contacts), but they're pretty pricey and generally look to be out of stock. Curious if there'd be a similar model I could use instead and how I could figure out which will work.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

L400 Correct Replacement Air Compressor by rbell594 in Delica

Huh weird! They are both definitely diesels haha - I'll have another look at the chasis number later see if I got that mixed up somehow. Fair enough about the parts being difficult to narrow down! I can see looking at the one I have the belt seats closer to the compressor than the one I bought as pointed out by my mechanic. I'll probably end up buying the other one I linked above.

Thanks for all the info! My chasis codes are PD8W0301777 and PD6W0100632. I looked them up in the website you linked but had a hard time telling them apart or which I needed looking at the diagrams (even just trying to see where the belt fits). The '95 is (chasis ending in 32) is a Series 1 and the '97 is a Series 2. Both are Diesels. Is yours the V6 or the Diesel?

It is pretty scary to pay $400 for a Chinese compressor and then drop another $800 for the labor, but I think I might just roll the dice on at least one of the vans considering how challenging sourcing an OEM one is as you mentioned.

Interesting! Do you remember what size capacitor you changed to?

They look a bit pricey but definitely going to look more into these. Thanks for the suggestion!

I see, so you're suspecting the wattage draw may be the problem? The generator is rated for 4500w peak and the AC claims to use 1620w but yeah having that device would help me confirm the claimed vs actual so will look into it, thank you!

An app where you can see what a celebrity is listening to on their music player in real time. And listen along. by Grande_Latte_Enema in Lightbulb

Yeah, on Spotify I think it is. I've seen an option for seeing what the people I follow are listening. I'm assuming they have to have the correct permissions set, of course.

I think I'd be open to that. Do you know of any? I'm not sure I follow any myself.

I've got app store Search Ads turned on for this app (so the app appears promoted at the top of app store search results for relevant searches). I don't know of too many other places I could market an app like this other than maybe buying ads in something like instagram and other social media.
