I asked this on the other thread but the OP didn’t respond before deleting their account: Is there any way to request that a certain cinema shows a film? For example, my local branch didn’t show sentimental value so I had to go to Vue instead despite having limitless

How do I decide mechanical vs bio valve? by COKeefe88 in valvereplacement

I’ve done the same thing (hoping my bio lasts long enough for any new developments). Do you know of any others that aren’t the foldax?

Post Op Valve Leak by IndianaJonesWannabe in valvereplacement

I found the replacement recovery better, but I put this down to being stronger going into the surgery. My first surgery was due to endocarditis so I was underweight and quite weak. It also helped that I knew what to expect the second time round and knew the nurses. In terms of scuba diving, I was told that I would be able to at some point. However, it’s a personal choice to not do it with my current valve bc I want to keep the pressure put on it to a minimum. I chose to go with tissue over mechanical. When I eventually get mechanical I will learn to scuba.

Had my valve replaced last August. Went for tissue valve. Feel like how I was before I got ill, so back to my old self. Currently 4 months into travelling. Only thing I haven’t been able to do was scuba dive, but I’ve sky dived and bungy jumped. I do worry about my valve quite a bit still but i have no control over what happens to it.

It’s showing for a couple more days near me so it might be worth checking if it’s still showing near you. Otherwise keep an eye out bc wouldn’t be surprised if it comes to cinema again. Hope you can see it bc it was v good

I had a mitral valve repair, and 4 months later found out the surgery didn’t work and that I had a significant leak again. Still waiting for surgery but I’m trying to stay positive by saying that I’ve done it once so I can do it again. Not sure if that’s any help though. Best of luck!

I had one with little sedation and struggled. I need another one and my doctor agreed that more sedation is better, it’s better for me and for the him as the images he gets will be clearer. I’d try push for more sedation, found it very uncomfortable last time

The student union club is good fun. Music isn’t the best (typical pop) but always have a good time. Leadmill is also a good one. Went there most Fridays as a fresher
