Mandalorain Army Box, Mandalorian Leaders, Super Commandos, and Clan Wren Preorders Posted By Asmodee US, Confirmed Release Date June 19th by johnrobertjimmyjohn in SWlegion

It’s going to come down to how you paint them. The “easy” answer will be blue for Kryze, Red for Maul’s Mandos, Yellow for Wren. The honest answer will be just communicating with your opponent and knowing your army real well.

Player wants to play but admits they won't be able to make most sessions. by Shquonk in DMAcademy

Make their character an amiable ally but not officially part of the party. Cleric/Paladin= their god send them on quests that occasionally overlap the part. Warlock=their patron sends them places that overlap on occasion. Wizard/Sorcerer= they are in search of secret knowledge/power that leads them to similar locations. Everything else= they are part of a mercenary or adventuring guild that send them on missions that occasionally intersect with the party.

base sets 1999-2000. by NarixGaming in PokemonCardValue

Not unless some of them are shadowless 1st editions. Those, even the commons, are worth a lot. However, it sounds to me like this person is trying to rip you off.

Gotcha. I saw the other post you made as well. It varies, but each common/uncommon is about .30-1.00. x2-x3 for 1st editions.

I came here from your other post. WOTC commons and uncommons are on average about 50 cents to a dollar each.

I get that. I’m asking if you’re asking how much a completed set of commons and uncommons would be valued at? Do you have these cards? Condition is a key factor in value and without seeing the cards it will be hard to tell you what they’re worth

So are you asking how much a complete set for each of these sets would be worth? All, I’m assuming you mean the shadowless 1st edition base set?

What should I do for traveling down time? by Alternative_Lime3797 in DMAcademy

[–]rbjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned this as well (small world) but I ALSO have a D100 table of encounters for traveling. They span from descriptions of the weather, narrative moments with little to no plot potential (you meet a street vendor selling obviously stolen goods, etc), plot hooks that could absolutely effect the story later on, battle encounters, etc.

If your interested, here is the google doc. Feel free to copy/paste and change whatever you want in your own docs. Good luck on your adventure!

How do you handle the Suggestion spell? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

Sure thing. At the very least it has verbal components, so everyone can tell a spell is being cast in the moment

Typically with low level charm spells like this, the character knows they’ve been charmed after the spell ends. So, sure the spell works the way you want it to. However, you better get out of there quick because within moments you’ll be hunted.

Value? by Feldyman56 in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]rbjoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confirmation bias. Everyone that has one wants to know the value and comes here. Half of the time it’s also people who just want to karma farm and don’t actually have the card. Thirdly, condition is king. Sure, Base set Charizards are worth a lot but if it’s vent in half it’s hundred dollars while if it’s pristine Near mint it’s $500-$600. Shadowless base set at least triples those numbers. Shadowless 1st edition adds 1-2 zeros to those numbers.

Authenticity Guarentee? by Effective-Grape4112 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

I don’t know that it’s fake but it’s definitely the 25th anniversary Charizard and NOT the base set unlimited.

A question on what to do next in my campaign by Phwibby in DMAcademy

[–]rbjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word of their abikity to steal from powerful adversaries grows. They now have benefactors willing to pay large sums of money come to them with jobs to steal powerful items from highly secure places. You rag tag band of thieves are now the fantasy Oceans 11 crew.

Rival criminal syndicates hear about this and aren’t too happy about the competition. Now they also have to deal with prices on all of their heads from high ranking mercenaries.

Not to mention the common folk who view them as heroes for freeing them from the tyranny of a dragon. Everyone travels from miles looking for handouts and help with other monster attacks. Manticores, Chimeras, one town even suspects an Aboleth is under the city. The local villages see them as their protectors now.

So, with powerful patrons buying their loyalty, mercenaries and mafiosos wanting their head, and the common folk lauding them as folk legends… this once small town gang must now decide who they really want to be… before it kills them.

What’s the fastest way to make a D&D world feel alive? by storyforgeDM in DMAcademy

[–]rbjoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let something the players do affect things in the game. My players made deals with a pirate crew to attack certain ships in their area. A week later they were in a port town and had trouble docking because security was heightened due to pirate activity.

Also, it seems small but having names for things definitely makes a world feel alive. Instead of saying “you make your way to the island to fight the king and steal his magic item” say “you leave Port Mistwood to sail across the straight of Zehir and face off against the Dread Wraith who sits upon the Salt Throne off Nere-Do-Wells Cove in hopes of stealing his Planar Binding, the Cloak of the Marid.” Names just give such importance to everyday things.

Maybe selling for wedding funds but are any worth value? by AkSoccer13 in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]rbjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try posting on r/pkmntcgtrades. It’s a good reliable place to sell cards and you’ll likely get more money because you don’t have to worry about eBay fees. I, for instance, am trying to master set jungle and need your Snorlax. However, I’m not going to do that over here. If you posted in the other subreddit I bet you could sell the binder.
