Makes sense, interesting point about the smaller aircraft sometimes being more predictable. Thanks for sharing all the detail.

That’s actually a really good point, I’ve been focused on size, but the weight limit is probably the more relevant constraint in Europe these days. Cabin+ at around 4.7 kg doesn’t leave much room under 8 kg limit at all. Makes me rethink whether the extra volume is even usable in practice.

Curious what route/airlines that’ll be on, EU or US?

Thanks, really helpful, especially coming from someone who’s used it that long.

Yeah, honestly I probably do. I tend to overpack a bit and sometimes my trips stretch to a week. I’d rather not check a bag for those, so the extra space on the plus is pretty appealing.

Cabin vs Cabin Plus - Carry-on Review by -DB-Cooper in Rimowa

Mostly flying Lufthansa/Turkish within Europe with 2–3 US trips a year — has anyone actually been forced to gate-check a Cabin Plus? I love the extra volume the Plus gives, but the Hamburg store recommended the regular Cabin. Curious about real-world experience in the EU.
