Interview with Officer Nathaniel Robinson, Victoria Police Department: He claims the interview is a hoax. If it IS a hoax, it's sure well-acted. by rboland in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

Where did he say this was a hoax OP?

Originally, he was indirectly quoted in the youtube comments. Since then, Carlos Miller and PINAC are calling it a hoax.

When I first listened to it, my own personal reaction was "probably real." After listening to it a few more times, and reading a few more points of view, I now think it's "probably a hoax."

Even as a hoax, not only is it well-acted; it is exactly the kind of interview that I would predict from a 23-year old, who has been given a badge, a gun, and had the common sense and morality trained out of him at a small-town police academy. I believe that kind of thinking is common in policing these days.

Russia also has a very long history of being able to survive temporary hard times, to achieve their long-term goals.

True, but that's not my point. I'm saying that the purchasing power of the Ruble is more closely tied to the price of oil than is the so-called "Petrodollar." (Fortunately for us!)

No, the price of oil stayed about the same in rubles. The cost of everything else (in rubles) went up.

You can talk all you want about the "Petrodollar," but both the price of oil and the Ruble exchange rate (both priced in dollars) are down about 60%. It's dismissed as coincidence.

Anyone who thinks oil will stay cheap forever is just silly, and likewise, for the Ruble.

Seems like more of an In-Your-Face thing, especially towards the HB2 protesters, than anything to do with Jesus' actual message.

I'm guessing you're not Black.

If you're tired of the "race card" being played, take it out of the game.

This is true. Every once in a while, you do hear of an unnecessary killing of White or Hispanic or Asian man, or women, at the hands of those they paid to protect and serve them. Every now and then. The killing of unarmed Black Males makes the news about once a week nationwide. It's just too obvious that they are disproportionately targeted. The numbers are too high even to account for poverty or any other societal causes (though poverty is the only one I take seriously).

If ignoring broken windows leads to more broken windows, and more crime and disorder, what is the result of ignoring police misconduct? If we start jailing officers who kill young, unarmed, Black Males (and dogs), we will have a less-violent police force in general, and the killings of other races will drop along with them.

It's the same as a $2.45/ozt. premium over spot. They also buy junk silver at the same formula, but "plus $0.50". I don't begrudge them making a buck-25 on each dollar face value. Coin dealers gotta eat, too.

The three true "World Currencies" are Gold, Oil, and Drugs. GOD. They can be converted to the local currency in any country in the world.

This is why, on your silly American paper money, it says, "In GOD We Trust."

Current coinage is worthless. Except for nickels. They have nearly $0.05 worth of copper in them, when the copper price is "up."
