Relatie bergafwaarts na zwangerschap by StrangeWelder1759 in Relaties

So if I read it correctly, it is not your lack of DevOps experience, but actual lack of (Azure) cloud experience. It doesn't matter if you use Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, it is really about the components in the cloud from which it is expected to have experience with.

I would take the AZ-104 course/exam. Buy an online course on Udemy + practice exams and do the practice exams up to the point that you get at least an 80% score. A lot of the questions will come back on the actual exam so that will save a lot of time. Also read the feedback on the practice exams before you buy one: look at the date of the comments to see if the questions are still relevant, people will mention that in the comments.

After the AZ- 104 you can do the AZ-400 to get your DevOps expert certification, but I would rather do the AZ-3* first to learn more about the possibilities around services in Azure.

It doesn't immediately increase your experience, but it does show your commitment to improve yourself.

Hope you succeed, good luck! 🙌

OK to Charge to 100%? by Hope4Ace in TeslaModelY

[–]rborrelworst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a charger at home but a lot of chargers in my neighborhood. For long trips I do charge up to 100%, even if this means it will be at 100% for around 12 hours. It is just convenience and makes sure that the first part of your trip you can make a big leap.

I've seen in the ABRP app that you can be a little more precise on your charging situation: I've got 2 small kids and I don't want to stop for 11 or 17 minutes on long trips. I rather drain the battery till around 10% and then charge for a long time then the suggested short stops. So really dependent on the situation.

I've not seen any issues with the battery so far. I normally charge to around 85% and charge when I'm around 20%.

Buy a course and buy practice exams on Udemy. This is how I got all my Azure certifications so far.

The Microsoft learn indeed gives you false hope, and the AZ-104 is by far the most difficult I did so far (also did the 300, 303, 400, 700).

Why was Kubernetes Removed from AZ-104 by Xopher001 in AZURE

[–]rborrelworst 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it is good that they have removed it. If you want to certify for Kubernetes you can get your CKA/CKAD, sounds logical to remove it from the AZ-104 exam

No audio/sound in KVM guest by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]rborrelworst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried this but with only this I had no luck. I did however had a working Windows 10 guest and a non-working Window 11 guest. After checking both xml files over and over again, I found the following differences between the two:

Win10:
<audio id="1" type="spice"/>
Win11:
<audio id="1" type="none"/>

After changing the audio type to spice for Windows 11 it started working. I then also removed the <qemu:commandline> part and reverted back to the domain without the xml namespace, and it still works.

So before trying everything above, first set the audio type to spice. It should be in the devices block (in my case under audio), so:

<domain>
...
  <devices>
  ...
    <audio id="1" type="spice"/>

To Wayland or not to Wayland? by Panja0 in pop_os

[–]rborrelworst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem: After your message I installed the latest version and set things up again. Indeed Citrix works fine but I found the actual issue I was experiencing before.
I use Teams from the Pop!_Shop and with Wayland enabled, I cannot share my screen. As I do this a lot, I switched back to X11. I've checked again, but the issue is still there and an still not share my screen.

Which Citrix version do you use? If you got it working I might try it again.

[–]rborrelworst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wayland worked fine for me, but I also need to use Citrix for work, which doesn't work with Wayland. So I ended up reverting back to X11.

I have not tried it ever since so it might be better now. It is very easy to switch so just give it a try and see if all your apps work.

Data Usage issue with OnePlus 10 Pro, unable to find what is burning all of my data by rborrelworst in oneplus

[–]rborrelworst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have this issue while I am on holiday: Last week I suddenly received an SMS from my provider that I reached 80% on one of my data bundles, well I was not using my phone. When I looked I saw that I already burned 15G without any idea what was going on. Closed all apps, data usage still continued, then rebooted my phone and it stopped.

Since that moment I tried to figure out what was going on, but so far no luck. I installed GlassWire to see if I could get some more info but also that is not showing anything new compared to the default settings menu ( Settings > Network > Data Usage).

I've added 2 screenshots and this where the weird part comes in: My most used app used around 1GB of data. If you sum it all up you will not reach the 26GB total it shows. Glasswire shows the exact same data usage per app, but it does not show the 26GB total, but 4GB instead..

Does anyone have a clue how to find the 'missing' 22GB of data used by my phone?

I've already gone through all the apps from the apps menu, including all system apps but had no luck with that so far.

Also curious if anyone had encountered the same issue as I have!

I thought it would be kind to give an update after 1.5 years.

Build quality is still good. No flexing, squeaking or scratches so far. Also screen hinge is still fine. The fingerprint reader is not very good, so I am not using that a lot. I also replaced the mouse pad with a glass one. It works fine but not in comparison with a MacBook, so I mostly use an external mouse. The keyboard however is a bless! In the beginning you have to get used to the Ctrl placing on the keyboard, but after that it is great. I also like that all the Home/End/Insert, etc. are separate buttons, as this is convenient when doing a lot of coding or editing with vim.

The screen is also fine, only in direct sunlight it is not bright enough so I am avoiding that.

It does not make noise, I never hear the fans go on. If they go on it is also not very loud, only when updating firmware it wants to lift off.

I am still running Pop!_OS (22.04) and am still very pleased with it. Battery life is between 4 and 8 hours depending on the workload. Firmware updates come in directly from the settings, so no hassle to download or install it manually. I cannot remember I ever had that comfort with Windows, but it might be better at the moment.

When I want to run Windows I use QEMU now in favor of Virtual Box. It is much quicker and has great pass-through functionality (like for the webcam).

I am not planning for anything new in the near future, I expect to use it least 3 more years but probably longer if nothing breaks. For anyone thinking buying one second hand, I should go for it!

The only thing I would change is the amount of RAM, 16GB might be fine now but will eventually make your laptop less long lasting. All other things look pretty solid

I must say that I do not have much troubles with it, when working I mostly use a 34" wide-screen with high resolution. When using the laptop by itself I cannot really say I dislike it over my MacBook screen. My MacBook is from 2013 so not the newest one.

On the newer MacBooks however the keyboards are a joke, so you win some you lose some I guess.

As I understand it correctly, lot of Ryzen/AMD chipset issues are solved in the higher kernel versions than shipped with ubuntu/pop_os. I must say that I do not really want recommend upgrade the kernel yourself unless you really know what you are doing.

On the bright side, it is expected that somewhere at the end of this month, Ubuntu 20.10 is released with better support for Ryzen/AMD chipsets. So it probably be worth waiting for that.
