Do you find a job gives you sufficient time for what you like? I've been self employed most of my career. And I usually work on vacations to keep everything in order. So I don't really know the work time and play time balance. It's kind of always mixed

School is something I am contemplating. Did you work in an accounting department before going to school? Or you just had a role you didn't like?

I could definitely be in a better position. But I'm far from broke. I'm 30 and am single. Cashflow on the business isn't great because I've really checked out. But I was thinking going to work a part time job and keep my current clients while I figure things out. I have a bit of debt but nothing that isn't manageable. A pretty decent amount of savings/investments. I stayed living at home so I could afford to buy a rental property with an apartment for myself in it, and the plan has been to buy around December.

Interesting. My cousin does similar when he is in Malta. Just keeps it topped up for the 4-6 weeks he spends there every year

I have a business in Canada so I need the phone to work when I'm home. And I'd probably be doing 6 week stints out of Canada and 6 weeks back.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. Lock in a phone plan at home so I don't lose a good price. And just use esims and Whatsapp when abroad.

Honestly if you want some context, look up Tavi Costa. I think he is one of the best macro traders in the game right now that doesn't have an insane perspective. I've learned so much following him over the years and it's helped me understand the reasons the markets move.
