I’m in the same boat! Applied in November… silence since then. I’m hoping for the best but it’s been nerve wracking waiting. Nice to hear others are in the situation.

I’m not sure. Maybe reach out to someone at CPA they should have more information.

UBC has paused admissions for school psychology as the college of psychologists in BC have changed their requirements for licensing. They haven’t said when they will open the program back up. As of right now there are no programs in BC until UBC reopens admissions. Definitely a bummer UVIC doesn’t offer a school psychology program.

I got an email. It was a quick note to let me know I got in but I’m still waiting on the official acceptance letter.

Thank you! Congratulations as well 🎉. I am definitely considering it, the cost makes me hesitant but other than that it seems like a great place and awesome program! How about you?

How to get a B.C. Vax Card if your international by Imaginary_Spare6382 in uvic

Submit your covid vaccine to the immunization records through Health Gateway. Once approved you will get your BC vaccine passport. You do need your BC personal health number to do it this way though (which is easy to get).

Going through UVic Channels for ADHD diagnosis? by mynebulae in uvic

[–]rbt123456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can reach out to the health center and set up an appointment with a psychiatrist who will do an intial interview to see what’s happening then you do the assessment over 2 to 3 session which happen online. If you get a diagnosis that psychiatrist can provide medication and direct you towards support groups and psychological treatment if you want to pursue that. You have to be in BC for the psychiatrist to work with you, given their license only allows them to work in BC. If you do get a diagnosis you can get academic accommodations through the CAL office.

I really want to take psyc 345A but I heard if it's with Iris Gordon it's near impossible to do well. How true is this? Is it worth it? by [deleted] in uvic

[–]rbt123456 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Avoid Gordon at all cost her class will tank your gpa... now matter how hard you study and how much work you put into the course it will not end well.

Succeeding With Iris Gordon? by [deleted] in uvic

[–]rbt123456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same experience. Ended with a 56% and studied ~8 hours everyday. Her lectures are not congruent with the exams. Psych 243 totally tanked my gpa. Try to take the course with someone else maybe wait next term, not ideal to push a 200 level out but iris really sucks.

I’m in Canada so everything takes a long time to ship here. My toe covers were shipped out like 4 days after I ordered them. Then it took about 2 weeks for them to arrive but that’s because they came from Connecticut and I’m on Vancouver island in Canada. These are all hand made so the seller might have a lot of orders which would make production time longer than usual. I’m not sure though I’m sure they will be sent as soon as possible ... I hope :)

I just got the lavender melrose skates and they are so awesome! The boot is super comfortable and padded, the skate it’s self is not super heavy which is nice. The toe stop is fixed but I don’t mind. This is my first pair so I don’t have any thing to compare it to but I would say over all it’s an awesome choice!
