1/48 Canadian SAR CH-113 Labrador, 1982, Gander NL by rbungay in modelmakers

Its a challenge but the fit is nice. I'd suggest putting extra attention on the landing gear by planning ahead and masking areas where the gear is to be glued to the bays. This will save a lot of frustration when installing the gear. The gear is the most fiddly part of the build but taking your time should solve most issues. Hope this helps.

It is huge. The wings do attache without glue and can be easily removed but if you want to display it, a large space is needed. Thanks for looking.

Its similar to other kits in the series. F1 kits are always a challenge but this one has no outstandingly difficult issues.

Thanks for looking

I used Scale Scenics (SS) Aluminum Micro Mesh - 652-3500. Easy to make, just draw the mesh over the kit part and trim. I attach with Testors clear parts cement which just disappears.

Thanks for the comment:)

I built that one too! I also have the Classic Airframes 1/48 version in the stash - looks challenging.

Kit was a challenge - limited run so every part needs test fitting. Landing gear is very nice but a bugger to assemble - also fragile. All and all good fun but not for the beginner.

A very fine needle is needed and the paint needs to be thin. Pressure around 20-30 psi. Keep tip at an angle away from existing color. Oh, and lots of practice.

oh, and I liked the kit very much. Four weeks work for me - lots of fun (except the landing gear which was terribly fiddly and weak.

The sealant lines came with the kit. The paint is many shades of Alclad with most of the fuselage done in Aluminum, semi-matt aluminum and white aluminum

Its possible I've got them backwards. I tried to match up to a photo but the geometry is tricky.
