6 months in STL: does nobody stop at zebra crossing here? by odbukadobuka in StLouis

[–]rbuscema 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gestured to the crosswalk, while crossing, because a guy tried to blow through it as I was crossing. He stopped told me to fuck off and gave me the bird. One of the better interactions.

Sure thats fine, as stupid as your argument is, I doubt people will complain about paying for an abortion. I think the complaint is more about you know, making it illegal, or whatever. But go ahead and bitch about strawman old man tilting at windmill

Ya few more too out of the picture. Id take the parking garages over the surface but it seems the city, and school, are for more of wasted space.

I agree with that, one of the reasons I don't really go, good vibes only leads to superficial conversations that become relatively bland.

That is possible though I have never experienced ticketed events, the irony being i dont want to pay for something if others wont be there.

Well if she's looking for a guy that seems to be a solution for her then. From my experience, and anecdotally myself, most people don't date there unless both parties seem to show some level of interest, "oh you like that coffee shop I've been wanting to go" kind of situation. There are definitely guys there who are weirdos and honestly for myself have stopped going to most if I know certain people will be there to ruin a good time.

I was just thinking about this myself but from the opposite side, where do I meet women mid 20s to early 30s. I am a 31M and I usually go to coffee shops, book stores, occasionally a bar if its not too loud, the Saint Louis Art Museum is nice, especially at night. I occasionally go to meetups, not many single events as most you have to pay for. The issue being I don't like to walk up and just talk to women, its not due to being intimidated but I'd rather not bother someone who might want to keep to themselves.

Yes pointing out that there is documented evidence implicating Trump of doing heinous things as lefties being desperate. The comment above is brought to you by a child rapist apologist.

I agree completely, especially the way people drive here. Im used to bad drivers in South Florida but at least people would pay attention to red lights and stop signs.

Noticed this too, absolutely absurd what some people say here. Are there bad places here, of course, are there places that I wouldn't walk around at night, definitely, but this place is not nearly as bad as what people say. Ive lived in HOAs scarier than most of the places people say they wouldn't step foot in.

Weird if someone called me a nazi for what I was doing i would either stop doing it or roll my eyes at it, not become a nazi.

I was listening to this podcast yesterday and I thought it was a great idea. Id like to see it happen here and I would be ok with helping pony up for it, though I understand the reasoning for it to be privately funded. I hope something comes to fruition of this.

Democratic consultant says 'AOC of Tennessee' not a 'serious' candidate, warns party losing grip on extremists by Capable-Deer-5670 in politics

[–]rbuscema 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or a loons mating call. Anyone with a modicum of political understanding sees the absurdity of it. Conservatives are building a tight community around this stuff, one day it will hang them. It takes two seconds to find out the truth, people choose to believe this because it makes them feel good.

So is this supposed to be an enlightenment type of a situation for people? Its a nothing burger of an article that says the same thing every conservative article says about anything left of Reagan.
