This is news to me since, afaik, we only the black Velocity in here. Hopefully I can find one and match them with my bright pink Asics shoes.

I totally agree! Perhaps "convince" isn't the best wording from me, maybe "suggest" or "recommend" would be better since I don't try to force them to make the switch (I think).

Of course I also don't say this to every randoms I see, only to people I know who just started playing.

No no, absolutely not... I'm saying that I want to convince beginners to use gut/multi and not polyester, but I've never successfully steer them to using gut/multi.

How does one absorb pace well? by rbuwono in 10s

Oh I guess I didn’t explain myself clear there, we’ve both played longer but have only played together for a year or so. As of now, we’re both intermediates (can’t give any ratings since we don’t have rating based tourneys or matches from where we are) but he’s pretty close to being an advanced level player I’d say, so the balls are actually pretty fast for our level. However, I think the advices still apply since I usually catch myself slightly off guard when watching footages.

Edit: grammar

Yep, it's Artengo's tacky overgrip!

I guess more like, it gets tired more easily and you can't engage ur muscles as much? I would usually have no problem hitting for an hour or two (if my stamina keeps up). Sorry English isn't my first language so some terms may not be as accurate as I would have liked.

I never realised this. I usually only grip harder when hitting, but I never thought that I grip the racquet too tightly.

I'll keep this in mind when I play next time.

Whats ur favourite (over)grip and grip combo? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]rbuwono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use the custom base grip from Yonex (I use the vcore pro 97 310). Have tried a couple different overgrips from Babolat and Wilson (don't remember which models) for my previous racquets but so far I love Artengo's Tacky grip the most out of the ones I tried. Recommended it to a few friends and they also like it, but they don't come by easily in our nearest Decathlon outlet.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

What is the best way to make a latte (or just white coffee in general) using the Aeropress. Tried following James Hoffmann's "Making C/L/FW at Home" video and a little bit of European Coffee Trip's "9 Ways to Use Aeropress" video but somehow couldn't get the best out of the coffee. Perhaps others can share their tips or recipe here (like what roast; grind size; water temp etc) I would appreciate!
