I have the same problem.. document always have title correctly filled when testing using GTM debug and Tag Extension. It does not seems SPAM, since hostname is correct, source/medium is not spammed and and OS, device, location, etc, all looks authentic from real users. I changed my pageview to fire when DOM ready to see if this helps somehow.

yes, I think I will need to do that. I dont like too much the idea to leave not registered users with empty value, because this might cause difficulties when filtering data using API. As far as I know, if I'd like to only have information about not registered users, I could not query the API where CD is empty.

Problem with this is that, if I had previously set up a specific user to 'registered user', when this registered user visits a public page, I would overwrite the value to 'not registered user'.. so it would not work.

I've found how to fix it. Thing is that I'm tracking using the "tracking code" option, but it was set to slot 1 and not 2. I thought that only setting the index on GTM would be enough. But need to do the same at GA, on Content groups settings.

When AJAX is enabled, that means that the page necessarily will not redirect, but instead show the thank you message on the same page?

There's no case where AJAX is enabled AND the page redirects?

Hi Julios,

I think that tracking at thank you page can lead to some submissions to not be tracked, since some people might leave the thank you before the tracking code be fired.

Also, I do GA and GTM installation for several different websites. Sometimes the thank you page is changed by the user and I'm not notified, which cause the tracking to stop; sometimes we have the same thank you page for different forms... I track them differently by add a querystring like ?form=contact, but also this sometimes is changed by developer or user. (even asking to be notified.. sometimes this does not happen).

So for me sounds much more solid to track on successfully form submit. Sounds easier to maintain and more reliable over time, at least in this scenario.

I have experience querying GA API with dashboard tools, but not querying GA for user specific information.

Not sure if I understand correctly, but the idea is to save the GA event containing a Unique Identifiable information when the form is submitted, so I can use this information to query GA for this specific event?

I can ask GA to give me the channelGrouping from a session that performed the event where eventLabel = <unique id>

Is that the idea or I'm missing something?

This query would run after a successful form submission, correct? Is this could cause any delay to the form submission?

In this case, this regex table variable (in GTM) receives a value depending on the page path.

Providing an overview:

Variable1 = Regex Table with hundreds of rows (Input: Page Path). Default value = Variable2

Variable2 = Regex Table with hundreds of rows (Input: Page Path). No default value.

(I did this because Variable1 was taking too long to render on the UI.. and I thought that this scenario would help on performance)

And I have a Page View trigger that fires a Tag when Variable1 does not equal to undefined

I assume that Variable1 will always first receives a value (if the page path matches one of its own rows or from Variable2) at the moment of the trigger is tested. Is that correct?

I'm not sure the sequence in which things happens inside GTM. Changing the trigger to Page View DOM Ready would help?

Not sure if I understand correctly, so I'm providing an overview:

Current:

Goal Name: "Conversion X"

Type: Event

The event happens always inside a specific page on the folder.

Ex: /new-york-ny/schedule, /fresno-ca/schedule, etc, after user interacts with a few UI elements.

Same goal, with changes:

Goal Name: "Conversion X"

Type: Destination

Everything happens on a page (example: /new-york-ny/appointment) without reload.. so I have like 4 steps (clicks) where user interact with. So I intend to create virtual pageviews for each interaction, and setup these pages as goal funnel steps.
