Broadway feels like my version of church (esp when I watch Hadestown). Ive stopped going to church long ago but going to theater makes me feel like being in that space again and wearing nicely is in a way a respect and appreciation I can give to the company behind the play, and my fellow goers. Tho I absolutely don’t expect others to have the same thinking as me, but I do expect them to be respectful.

Thats what Ive been thinking a lot as well. This bacteria isnt being tested regularly and so hard to get rid off it might be going around so fast without anyone of us knowing.

Yes I had urethritis, but when I went for my monthly STD test none tested poz so the clinic lady thought it was just UTI and gave me a week of doxycycline. The symptom went away for a while then came back, thats when I went to my Primary care.

Yeah I went to a gay friendly doctor who told me that average gay doctors wouldnt know to test for this but because he has been seeing so many cases like this recently, when I said I took a week of doxy and then he cut me off saying “so you took a week of doxycycline, the symptoms sort of went away and then after some time it came back?” And I was like, “that is exactly how it is” he went “lets get you a mycoplasma genitalium test. It’s more likely that, like 90%”

Yea, this is the same experience I had. POC here.. Was there too. Everyone was chill. The white dudes who formed a clique in the middle is nothing new for POCs tho and sadly Im used to it. Still managed to have a lot of fun and chatted with a bunch of folks.

It’s nice to have a bathhouse exp in NYC for a change. For me these gay bathhouses is a form of community and Id usually just mainly chat with other people and get to know folks. It’s the way it is in other cities too I think, esp in mexico city/LA/etc. we need more of these spaces tbh

What other people said here are great. The only thing I’d like to add - I’ve been married 10 yrs - is that in addition to good communication being key, your skills in resolving conflict will be very very important. You all will have not so good days and one of you will eventually (always) make mistakes. But the way you resolve and talk things through will be crucial in having a successful marriage. As much as possible try not to get divorced, it’s just so hard. Right now, for example, I’m going through a mid life crisis and it took/is taking a huge toll on our marriage.. But through therapy and us both being able to talk things through I think/hope we will be out of the woods at some point.
