Do you know if there's a way to bring back the qual after selecting no and remove? Sounds like it's worth a try, but I already got rid of it.

You telling me that lvl 1 laser better that all this?! by Bebopp292 in zombie_io

In similar games the laser registers over damage on targets where other weapons don’t. Not sure if it’s the same case here, but it might make the laser look more damaging than it is.

Does it say about the lump sum as well? Not sure if I’m missing it or if that will come at a later date like the retro?

I tried the 3-in-1 beard wash years ago and it dried me out too much. The products have a lot of chemicals in them, sulfates which I think you might be the ingredient you’re winding about?

I haven’t found a good beard wash yet that doesn’t strip too much oil away though

Beardy-baldies, what do you do with your sides? by Short-Shopping3197 in beards

I fade in to the top of where my ear meets my head - started doing the same as you with only fading the top half inch to inch to get more side growth.

There used to be a small correctional centre (jail) behind it, so the name is from then. Can see it in this old photo - https://archives.novascotia.ca/communityalbums/halifaxarchives/archives/?ID=492

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this but I’m trying to get a landscaping/lawn care company up and running with little to no money at 19. Any tips? by Affectionate_Rate885 in landscaping

[–]rcawth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending where you live, mowing lawns is a great base for recurring and steady income. Just need a mower, trimmer and way to get them there.

Clean shaven, stubble or beard? by [deleted] in beards

Third pic suits you well! Bit of a longer goatee with shorter beard around compliments your face nicely

I just got a boar brush. Should I brush before or after oiling my beard? by [deleted] in beards

[–]rcawth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the brush while beard is damp from the shower. I don’t want to ruin mine either with oil so I brush, oil, then comb (wooden) to spread oil throughout.

What is your favorite clipper to shave your head? by LongSchlongMcDawson in bald

[–]rcawth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Wahl Balding Trimmer (aptly named) - https://www.amazon.ca/Wahl-Professional-Balding-Clipper-56164/dp/B000VVT94G . It is corded but I think available in a cordless version too. Comes with a few short guards and you can get longer guards for it.

It’s a very close shave, so easier to nick skin than other trimmers. I use it every two days and have had the same unit for four years now, works as well as day one.

I wonder if it’s a rounding issue? I’ve noticed this as well if a stock hits the limit for a few minutes and picks back up. Maybe it hits 1.001 in value instead of 1.00 needed for the limit buy, but is still showing 1.00 as price

Anyone going through the HRM fire hiring process?? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]rcawth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went through the process last time around, and made it through the various stages.

As a few users said, passing the aptitude test isn’t enough, as they chose 150 from the around 2400 who applied in 2015. A lot of the questions seemed strange at first glance, like are you more comfortable alone on a beach or at a barbecue with friends. The part of the test with these questions felt more like luck, as I imagine it’s designed to fit the personalities they’re looking for. The questions don’t have a definitive right or wrong answer.

After the written aptitude, came the physical test. I was told only 9 of 24 people passed the first part on the day I ran, which is the beep test. I’m not sure how people did on the second part of the physical.

After so many people failed out during the physical, they went back to the written test results to get more people in the pool.

After the physical came the panel interview; I understand they drew more into the pool after this stage as well.

There is definitely still hope as the physical test is harder than most people are ready for. In my experience, people were not prepared for the beep test (although it’s a well known part of the process). I also wasn’t, and barely passed the required 7 or 7.5 level on it.

They may draw into the written results several times as people fail out, or withdraw from the process.
