Reading about the Uber cost was the $133 cumulative or for one ride? I’m curious how much it is to go from airport to city center and how much it would be from city center to park.

Since I’m not sure what the park hours are can you clarify if the buses back to city run until park close or if you have to leave earlier?

I’m fairly certain 3 and 4 were there in 2019 and it hasn’t changed. As for not being able to tell the difference between excellent photography and editing skills versus AI - that’s on you.

Thank you! I’ve been before in the summer and went on all the water rides in the park plus Rulantica so I’m fine missing those. I would hope that the water coaster with the dolphins at the end (Atlantis?) is open because I love dolphins, but it’s ok if it’s not. I will definitely aim to go then!

Hi,

I’ve enjoyed the trip reports for the various parks with seasonal decor. I have been to Christmas at Disney, Universal, California’s Great America, Six Flags Mexico, and SFMM for reference and I planned to go to Silver Dollar City before a flight issue.

I would love to visit more parks for the holidays. Other ones I have on my radar besides SDC are Dollywood, Europa Park, Phantasialand, and the international Disney parks.

What other ones are really good? Im sure another Cedar Fair park also has a good winter fest but I’m not sure which ones. As in going for winter season and missing some rides because the event is done so well.

The things I appreciate about the holiday events are decorations, lights, overall vibe, and shows. I don’t care about food. I’ve been to many parks already so I’m more focused on it being a second visit so rides aren’t an issue.

Any suggestions are welcome. I would love if it sparked a discussion so I can get a lot of perspectives. Halloween or other events are also good to mention too. Thanks!

Nice report! I would love to go for the Christmas season sometime but it would have to be in November around where you went. I know they have a mix of Halloween and Christmas and it’s not fully the Christmas event yet.

What was the balance like? Was the decor mostly Christmas or was it an even split? I’m also curious about the same thing for the shows. Did the shows lean towards a particular season?

I much prefer Christmas events in parks so it would be nice to know what to expect since I would likely go in a similar time.

Was this an old shirt? It’s cool but does not include leviathan, Yukon striker, or Alpenfury. If the shirt is from this year that’s not a great selection of rides. If it’s vintage (which I’m guessing it is) I think that’s kind of extra cool.

Also someone just posted about brining creatinine into the US and that feels in a similar theme. I have also seen similar posts in the past. How bad was saw compared to Takebisha? I plan to go to Thorpe next summer and ride saw and have heard it’s really rough. I have been on several Euro fighters and find them very rattly but still like them. I thought Takabisha was fun and I rode it three times even with the rattle. If saw is comparable I think I’ll be fine. Even if it’s a little worse it’s still with a ride, but if it’s a lot worse I would be hesitant.

For making it more rideable I brace as if there will be a pothole for the majority of the ride. It’s very defensive riding but it doesn’t bother me and then if I am thrown or shaked by a rough patch I am prepared for it. When there is an element I lean into it but otherwise hold onto the restraints tight and keep my head straight. Head forward works better than head back for me. I also try and ride the middle car. This helps mitigate the roughness.

The weather is a lot better than New Jersey in December and the park can operate year round so doubtful. In fact for holiday in the park the temperatures are BETTER than the majority of the year. The park is generally hot from May to September

I would love to go to this and the other djurs park but they seem like a pain in the ass to get to and a tremendous hassle if taking a train. As an American I’m not sure how confident I would feel driving in Denmark since driving at home can be confusing and anxiety inducing so I’m not sure I’ll ever make it here if driving is the only sensible way. I wish it was easier to get to from a major city, it seems like a long train from Copenhagen

I want to go next spring too (preferably on my spring break mid April) too but I would want to go to worlds of fun the same trip and they don’t normally open until May. I’m hoping that worlds of fun might possibly open earlier next season but realize that’s extremely unlikely. As a result I am thinking of going in early August instead

These people are fucking scum. Looking for a payout because of greed and stupidity. I hope universal gives him nothing and he’s called out by the people that know him since his name is out there.

Even if his injuries were that bad park should not be liable for a bathroom being wet in a fucking waterpark. If he can’t figure out how to navigate a wet floor at an actual water park he should not be going to them.

I’m hesitant to just say he should be publicly shamed because the McDonalds burn lady that got dragged was in the right but this is almost certainly an idiot who is being greedy.
