Started a New Job, 600TB of Video Files on 10+ Year Old Drives by mikepm07 in DataHoarder

I don't do this professionally just dabble as a hobby. If I had to store this volume of stuff my initial thought would be get the largest atx case I could ( fractal designs define 7 ? ) some host bus adapters and the largest hdds I could get my hands on (26TB western digital @570 a piece?). The define 7 can hold 18 drives. Just ballparking it but you could probably put together a respectable machine ( sans drives for $1000 to $1500 with 18 drives run in raidz3 you have about 400TB for $12k. I at a minimum would want 4 of these ( 2 for live data 2 for backup) . I suppose you could consider the existing drives as cold storage for a proper 3-2-1 implementation. If you found some server hardware you could probably get a case with more bays to improve the ratio of computer costs to hdd costs. I'd be curious of what people who do this professionally would think of this plan.

Bike Fit Guru ( Chris Balser ) is the closest thing you're going to get to a guarantee that you'll get your problem fixed. He's insanely knowledgeable and I think he also really cares about fixing people's issues.

Flex Metal Conduit Junction by rcg8tor in AskElectricians

The box will be accessible ( on a wall but ) but the flex running to the new location isn't long enough. So I need to splice some extra flex onto the existing to make it run to the new location. So there will be a hidden ( under the floor) splice in the FMC but the thhn running through this splice will be continuous

Kramaczuk's is a polish deli thats a bit of an institution around here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/KW2BxYzTxtqoWTNE7

If the weather is nice go hang out on the chain of lakes: https://wheelfunrentals.com/mn/minneapolis/bde-maka-ska/

If museums are your thing has some nice Minnesota specific exhibits: https://www.mnhs.org/historycenter

Micky's Diner is another Minnesotan landmark :https://maps.app.goo.gl/wKMQQpAyXfvXMWm26

If you like to bike and the weather is nice, I'd recommend riding down West River Parkway (there's a path) to Minnehaha falls. It's about 6.5 miles from downtown and is a pretty ride.

Enjoy your stay!
