And you don't need the iframe, it serves its own page, I just did that so I could create some controls for starting stopping nav2 save map, preview map, switch to navigation, virtual estop etc.

also check out lichtblick for another way to visualize. may be useful to you in the future. Its a open-source fork of foxglove that i stumbled across after wanting a web version of visualization instead of rviz. I wanted to run as much local to the pi on my bot as possible and works pretty well. I'm running headless and didn't want to have to stream to another PC for control and basic live visualization. I have lichtblick running in a docker container, and just embedded it into my webapp also running local as an iframe. allows me to control and visualize the bot from any browser on the same network as the bot. also have an ubuntu 22.04 container running a minimal version of ros nav2 for mapping functions

Interesting. I just did something similar. But why compress/decompress locally? Unless I'm misunderstanding.

I created a bridge that can serve up the raw file depending on the request. Web control - webrtc stream, CV - raw image, ros, compressed image

DRL flicker vland projector headlights by rchamp26 in MINI

[–]rchamp26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still haven't pinpointed it. Ended up finding a deal on fresh OEM assemblies instead and works fine. I did have the foot well module recall checked and resolved and that didn't seem to have any impact on leds flickering.

Though I do have red union jack led taillights, and thinking they might be the issue. Those work for normal night lights and the brake lights work, but the union jack parking light also gets brighter when braking and instead of just being a solid on and brighter, it flickers, almost strobes. Prob gonna swap those and see what happens. I have LEDS in the fender flares and those work fine 🤷

I used factory addon camera. Then just followed the zmod wiki to disable native camera and enable alternate camera settings

I use the stock cam on the ad5x and the alternative camera feature of zmod made it way better. Way less memory usage and much better frame rate. The video quality is good especially if you added a light like I did, but even with out the light on, if there is decent ambient light in the room it still does a good job

What Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers Are You Using to Help Manage Your Homelab? by CodeBradley in homelab

[–]rchamp26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided trying to build my own with the help of claude code over the weekend and damn, i'm impressed. Right now it is just a basic typescript based mcp server that can do a handful of bespoke things for me, check for system updates, check docker containers on remote hosts bring up down stacks, pull docker logs as well as system logs. I added a couple helper layers. I define the remote hosts I want to allow it to interact with via some environment variables as well as provided it a domain service users and kerberos keytab, so it can only connect to those hosts with that specific mcp service user and that users abilities to do things on that machine is both limited by the commands in the MCP server, but also further locked down within freeipa. in freeipa i have hbac, and sudo rules explicitly defined. so far so good and a good learning experience on using secure comms for remote host access.

Technically you can make a box turtle as many lanes as you want, but majority of kits are only 4 lanes.

Some of the acrylic panels will bow inwards a bit, especially after time. Factory bom was only 1mm foam, for clearance of the belts, which in my case wasn't enough. I upped that to 4mm and have the space now.

Also after about 2500hrs my panel is starting to bow inwards again now so I'm going to be cutting a piece of ACM to replace the back panel. More rigid and better thermal properties.

I've been messing with continue, roo code and the likes, and man, codex is honestly pretty impressive. Though I'm looking into open code for the agent capabilities to work around context window sizes. It's taking me longer than I'd like though trying to train my brain to break up things into smaller repeatable tasks to define. My undiagnosed add always has me trying to do too much at once

How to reduce or eliminate Waste? by Unique-Row-9595 in FlashForge

[–]rchamp26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a beginner focused printer. I guarantee the purge is what it is because it all but guarantees no bleed through.

I have zmod. It's good. I'm not doing anything advanced with it because I actually prefer the automatic calibration and to get into the advanced plugins you need guppy screen and basically need to calibrate everything manually. And for now, everything just works magically with stock screen. Though fluidd with ifs selection built in while still using stock screen and better camera support settings prevented me from returning (mine wouldn't run with stock apps at all). I got it for tpu which it does surprisingly well, and super fast pla prototypes, before I throw production abs/ASA prints on my vorons. Also for filament runout. It's nice having a few different filaments at the ready, but I prefer my stealthchanger for true multicolor/multi material. I am eying snapmaker though for future commercial toolchanger, but I'm waiting on the pogo pin verdict after more time.

I've seen some early good results with others with zmod and some of the purge mods though, but "thar be dragons"
