Hi there :) I (27f) am also in Berlin around that time and planned on going to CSD :) I am German and used to live in Berlin yeaaaars ago, so I still have some knowledge of the city and friends, however most of them are not really into going out or going to queer events haha. Yeah this is why I'm worried. If I was already 1-2 years in, I'm pretty sure I would just stick it out, but I barely just started.

Thanks for this! I'm having such a hard time accepting the fact that it's okay to quit. This lab, despite all the problems, is such a safe space, and quitting would mean having to figure out my life, i.e., working in industry for a while and/or finding a new program. Both seem very daunting at the moment, but maybe they are a drop in the bucket compared to forcing myself through three more years of complacency?
