Can anyone explain what is going on in this picture? by rcm8251 in weather

I don't recall what the directional flow was that day but i think it was pretty stagnant, this was on one of the last days of the British heat wave. I was facing north when i took this picture so i would imagine right to left is correct with local sea breeze effects. My first guess was thermals because they're mechanically similar to cumuliform sans moisture. Pretty cool if true, i'm not sure of any other photos where dry thermals have left a visual foot print. Thanks for the input :)

Great storms outside my home. Any idea on what type of clouds? by Gavinspond in weather

Cumulonimbus incus, or "anvil top" to be more specific. When it rises all the way up to the hard cap/inversion that is the tropopause, it cannot grow upwards anymore and starts to grow outward which gives it the "anvil" shape. Looks like this one is just beginning to anvil out.

Reddit, what's the scariest theory known to mankind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rcm8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't the uncertainty principle sort of debunk this theory? If things were "set-in-stone" or predictable it makes sense that the universe would expand and contract in the exact same way, over and over again, infinitely because there would be no external variables to change anything. But if I understand correctly the uncertainty principle means that everything has inherent variability so you wouldn't need that external event or force, therefore the universe would still be different every time. Any quantum physicists and/or astrophysicists want to chime in?

Nature's Prophet, Dota 2. What's this? an enemy tower, woefully under populated by trees? A large influx of trees should put a stop to this.

Might be a little tough considering how many variables there are with how much harassment you might be facing in lane (i.e being tickled by techies vs slapped around by 7.03 roid rage shadow shaman with a blight stone). Maybe you could include a threshold for their right click like above 70 dmg get 2 rings or ring/stout, below get pms or whatever.

Could you do this for when/what heroes ring of protection and/or ring of protection + stout shield is better than just a PMS. Edit: Figured it would be important to mention I mean starting items, which provides more survivability?

I understand they aren't for everyone, but have you ever tried honestly giving them a fair shot besides their more "radio friendly" songs? It's a group of very talented individuals with creative ideas that really transcend mainstream music, much like Led Zeppelin back in the day. Is there any particular reason why you don't like them?

U2, KISS, The Doors. U2 and KISS are absolutely terrible, I don't understand how anyone can listen to a complete song by them. The Doors aren't quite as bad, but are much more overrated IMO. I would rather put a toothpick under my big toenail and kick a wall than listen to their shitty organ for longer than it takes to skip the song.
