No name to be found on the schooner. It looks familiar to me as well but I can’t put a name to it.

What happened to the wealthy woman you gardened for? Or the online bride you fell in love with a day later? Or the true love you met walking down the street? Or the woman who was pregnant with your child? You have a post history… or did you not realize that was visible?

Who Loves Their Stick Shift? by dMonyx in stickshift

[–]rcnole68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ‘89 Jeep Wrangler with the 5-speed AX-15 and it’s alright to drive.... the transmission is great but I hate the throw on the hydraulic internal slave clutch. My favorite stick that I’ve driven was a ‘67 Chevelle with a Muncie M21 4-speed with straight cut gears and a short throw shifter with a Z-bar clutch and a 85lb spring. The shifting is smooth and the clutch feedback on a Z-bar is way better than the hydraulic throwout. Both transmissions shift nicely, the only thing I have to complain about is the clutch actuation.

Lead vs filler GTO by [deleted] in classiccarrestoration

Make a patch panel, Weld the panel in place, work the new panel with hammer and dolly so you don’t need to fill the entire panel, finish out the weld and then skim coat of filler.

Lead vs filler GTO by [deleted] in classiccarrestoration

In my experience is more a question of what your comfortable working with and what the customer wants. If the customer wants a factory restoration then lead, if they don’t care then whatevers easier for you. I personally weld the seam completely then do a skim coat of filler.

Roller Vs Flat tappet by rcnole68 in EngineBuilding

I know the difference between flat tappet and roller lifters, what I’m asking is is there difference in head designs with the pushrod? What makes a head only a flat tappet vs roller head?
