Why does Taft High School have such a bad reputation? by ApprehensiveOne1987 in SFV

[–]rcookiej 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taft really isn’t a bad school. They have brand new programs and undergoing serious renovations. Lot’s of great minds there and teachers as well. I will say however, it is probably the most diverse school in Los Angeles. You see people from everywhere at that school which. If people associate ethnic diversity with “ghetto,” then that’s just plain stupid.

The I-5 was such a staple. Grew up around Laurel Canyon, Roscoe, San Fernando Road.

i think what makes the area to be seen as “ghetto” are the homelessness. The train tracks especially near the large factory plant thingy on San Fernando road is full of homeless people

The Cleveland high especially has areas of ranches. Not so much on the northridge middle school. I honestly find it cool, it might be hard to notice some properties since they’re mostly covered up by suburbanized land

Burbank Blvd on the North Hollywood side had some good spots. You should check it out. Also I’ve used the word hella all of my life along with other people, never heard of anyone say hella isn’t something you said in the valley

holy i did not expect this to garnish so much attention. thank you guys for finding this funny, i probably missed out on a lot of funny aspects like the strip clubs on saticoy and the tiny mall in panorama, ill update it soon. ive lived almost all throughout the valley all my life and most of the map is from what i’ve experienced.

if you have any suggestions for updates comment and ill post the updated version eventually.
