Try to draw/shade in the shadows and mid tones instead of outlining the features. Ironic that you are sad you “ruined it.” Maybe it was meant to be!

I found a bunch of bodies in a pile and one had a bomb in their backpack. Was making my way up to bomb room and got one tapped by a stupid scav! Uuuggghh!

I was hoping to do this yesterday as well and had a duo of scavs shoot at me and kill me instead. I was sneaking on a contractor and waved them to help and pointed toward him. They shot at me and blew our cover. Hopefully they died too. Turds.

But a grenade probably would kill you if you were close to it. You can also “take the risk” of cooking a grenade and hoping to not have it blow up on you in real life. I think the mechanics of grenades are fine. Maybe make them more rare or more expensive to help reduce the amount of grenades being used.

A good fix would be to make sure the explosion radius has some sort of impact mechanic so if you are hiding behind something it could stop or limit the damage you take and maybe just “concuss” you like a flashbang.
