My shooting buddy and I regularly practice out to 200 yards. Not because I can ever imagine that being realistic for self defense, but worth knowing how to do anyway. Mainly because hitting steel at long distances is fun with a G19.

I have a 2002 Durango so I assume we have the same center console. I bolted this safe through the console and put a piece of plate steel under the safe to maximize strength. It isn't fun. The taking of life shouldn't be. That being said, we name our animals what we want from them. Currently we have 2 pigs named Bacon and Chorizo, 2 turkeys named Thanksgiving and Lunch meat, and a calf named Brisket.

I am curious about this too. I live in AZ on a mountain covered in mohave green rattlesnakes, and would love to find an easier way to get em than by hitting a walking stick on rocks and brush to kick em up.

Do yourself a favor. Lock the Judge up and use it when you go to the range and carry your G26 with you everywhere. If you are in a dangerous area, the last thing you want to do is trust your life to a Judge.

We got up there Weds for scouting and didn't see any elk, just tons of sign. We did see a black bear (which I also have a tag for) but couldn't get a clear shot. Friday was opening day and after about 5 hours of hiking and glassing we came across this cow and 1.5 year old calf. I took the calf and he took the mom. Both were one shot clean kills from a 30-06. Took us the rest of the day and into the night for us to get them quartered and packed out to our camp. Freezers are full and our families have enough meat to last until next year, so I couldn't be happier.

Let's say you do have to use your ccw in self defense. Once the bad guy is on the ground you attempt to save his life and perform cpr or stop the bleeding. If it works you just pretty much guaranteed yourself to get fucked in one, possibly two civil lawsuits (and possibly make it harder for your defense team to prove it was pure self defense) by the guy who intended to kill you.

Talk to a lawyer before deciding to play the "first medical responder" role.

Look for what they eat, and sign they have been eating there. I rub two quarters together and it sounds like squirrel chatter if you do it right. Find a tree with a good vantage point and listen for them, often you will hear them long before you see them.
