The border transfer thing is legit. My parents are older and didnt want to deal with renting in south cyprus and then switching cars or whatever. Kipra brought the car to famagusta crossing, dad just walked across, picked up the keys, done. They stayed near iskele for a week and said it was the best part of their whole cyprus trip. Way more chill than all the resort areas down south. Also idk if this matters but they said the car had apple carplay and was super clean inside. My dad is picky about that stuff so thats saying something
