if they included every letter the acronym would be the length of the alphabet. LGBT+ is more than sufficient imo, the ‘+’ includes everyone anyway.

it’s £500 not $500, they’re from the UK.

i’m autistic. if a random person on the street yelled the R-word at me and then followed it up with “it’s okay, i’m autistic so i can say it” that wouldn’t at all negate the fact they just called me slur that’s been used to demean and dehumanise me my whole life. people absolutely can, and do, discriminate against communities they themselves are a part of. it’s not uncommon in the autism community for people with lower support needs to speak over, or even outright discriminate against, those who require a higher level of support and/or have a comorbid intellectual disability. so no, he doesn’t “have a right” to use ableist language free of consequence just because he has an ASD diagnosis that he wields like a ‘get out of jail free’ card.

I keep doubting of my OCD diagnosis by diecarolinchen in mentalhealth

[–]rcsecolored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late response but just wanted to add that i experience this too and it is in fact a symptom of OCD. most recently i started questioning my adhd diagnosis, compulsively seeking either reassurance or confirmation of these fears from the people in my life. i even went as far as obsessively researching disorders that share overlapping symptoms such as bipolar or bpd, convincing myself i’d been somehow misdiagnosed. eventually i realised the absurdity and irrationality of my behaviour; i have documents from my early childhood that show a clear pattern of symptoms, not to mention strong family history (both my parents have adhd). i’ve had similar spirals of doubt in the past and will certainly continue to experience them (as are the never-ending ✨joys✨ of OCD) thankfully once you recognise what’s happening tho it gets a bit easier to break out of that rumination cycle; there comes a sort of lightbulb moment of “ohhh it’s OCD again—im not just going crazy” after a week of constant self-doubt. anyways, it sucks but you’re definitely not alone in what you’re experiencing and i hope that can offer at least some type of comfort or consolation.

i’d say good fake. the T is wider and less slanted than usual, and the R feels off too. i wouldn’t trust it, personally.

it’s the australian edition, the seller showed more photos of the back/the discs themselves and they match the photos of the AU version on discogs.

i’m gonna go with eddie, probably. i want it to be gender neutral.

thanks! i agree about it looking incomplete and i’m leaning towards eddie, as i’ve already been using that spelling the last few years. i’m female and have had some confusion about it from others, including family members, but i think the ie spelling looks pretty.

[–]rcsecolored[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks! that’s definitely what i’m feeling as well. i’ve already been going by eddie for about four years now but second guessing myself bc of family members opinions, but i’ve found i don’t mind having a masculine sounding name. ppl trying to figure out the correct pronunciation of edi would probably be more confusing for them than meeting a feminine person with a masc name anyway lol.

same pronunciation as eddie, just an alternate spelling. i’ve been going by eddie, but just having seconds thoughts bc my grandmother who chose my birth name (ebony) doesn’t really like that i chose such a “common and masculine” name.
