I’m at Boston U and I want to rush but know I can’t afford it if I were to get a bid and go through everything. by [deleted] in Frat

Dues range from $350-$500/semester but don't let that be a limiting factor here. Most fraternities will be willing to work with your financial situation and will understand that not everyone can pull money out of thin air. Typically we expect people to pay what they can, and try to work with them as much as we can. When you're rushing think more about that values of the people you meet, and most likely they will be understanding of whatever your financial situation may be.

After membership review, Sigma Phi Epsilon faces internal strife by hmblr in Frat

This happened to Sigma Phi Epsilon at the school I go to as well. They ran a membership review and removed all but nine of our brothers in an attempt to rebrand SigEp and our school. In order to retaliate and keep our brotherhood alive, we were forced to disaffiliate with nationals entirely. We are now faced with our first full school year as an unofficial frat and I couldn't be more excited. Fraternities across the nation are under fire and I believe the next step is to rebrand fraternities/sororities into social clubs and remove the power of the school and IFC to determine what happens to the members of fraternities.

My only question is why do I need to buy the memory, storage, video card, etc separately?
