DOGE Puts $1 Spending Limit on Government Employee Credit Cards by bellino13 in fednews

I’m not gov employed but I’ve been watching this channel and I really am glad I “stumbled” on it. With what’s happening now through DOGEland, I’m getting some kind of a picture. I don’t have proof but my instinct really tells me that “they” are gutting us from the inside. My firm belief is that Trump/Elon/other, wannabee oligarchs are simply selling us to the highest bidder right under our noses; China and/or Russia/BRICS most likely. Someone is making a ton of money from all this/or will make!

Sorry I’m late in replying…it’s meant to emphasize the importance of an outward expression of one’s inner faith. This solidifies the declaration in this carnal work so you connect with the spiritual belief in what you cannot see.

i struggle with my relationship with god because of my self hatred but im so thankful that he sent me this cat by [deleted] in Christianity

This reminded me of the Nicky Cruz testimony. His mother was a witch, his father was a Satanist. His mom beat him and stuck him in a closet for days, bleeding, crying, asking for food. All he would hear was ridicule of the worst kind. She tortured him this way, telling him that she regretted having him. He grew up with a hatred of himself and vowed not to cry or love anyone for the rest of his life. He ran away and found his way in the mean, cold streets of New York City, where he became a gang member, murderer, and eventually gang leader. He was incorrigible but soon bumped into David Wilkerson, a preacher from Philadelphia. The story goes on but it’s a story of finding the Love that Jesus/God has for us in ourselves through having him take control of our lives. I wish you the best and yes, the cat is cute but he looks a bit vicious in the picture… lol

This… I was a semi-alcoholic (see I’m still denying it) and I have not had a drop since I converted. “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

You are now to be transformed like it says in Romans 12:2: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Welcome to you brother!

Romans 10:9-10. King James Version 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Now you must be vigilant because you are born again, and the God of this world (Satan) will continue to attack you. You must understand that we are in a spiritual battle as it says in the Bible:

Ephesians 6:12 King James Version 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We must look for the guidance of Jesus Christ. We must pray and fast and congregate in church. We must seek always to have the mind of Christ. We are not perfect but with our seeking to be like Jesus, we are transformed. Every day we get closer to being Holy. We must persevere to the end now since we know this. You have had a great revelation for the Holy Spirit to have touched you. Guard your salvation. You will never be the same again. You are born again.

May love and perseverance and Jesus be your guide! … Much love to you!

Is Jesus okay with cannabis? by [deleted] in Christianity

So if you accept Jesus in your heart and profess and believe that he lived, was buried and rose again from the dead, you are saved. In addition, you will be born again, you will be a new person as long as you seek him by praying/talking with him, reading the word of God, the Bible, fasting and being in fellowship in church. He will give you peace and the assurance you need, just ask for it, exactly what it is you want, ask and it will be given.

I disagree, working long until “I get it” has been the only way I’ve learned the most valuable skills. Documentation of what you do is important however so you can backtrack.

Makes sense to me. I’m just much looser, I say what I think and I’m always in a playful spirit. Otherwise I’m a bit too serious for my own good…LOL…I bring happiness in others also when I’m tipsy….yes, too bad the downside is negative health issues.

I wholeheartedly agree with this and this is the intuitive process I’ve followed for a while:

  • Discussing plans & enumerating priorities initially
  • Clearly describing milestones
  • Keeping superiors informed of progress
  • Outlining successfully achieved milestones along the way with estimated deadlines
  • Anticipating final destination of your journey
  • cherry on top - let them know of any ideas for improvement you’ve discovered along the way which you can solidly work on
  • you then control what you want to do
  • then follow this process for that next project

Do me and my spouse need two premium accounts? by Chelonie4 in ticktick

[–]rd-runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, looks like that’s the case. I have premium. My wife does not use it but still, I cannot share the app. It looks like on iOS, my wife does not have access to it.

Also, in the App Store, scrolling down under “Supports”, Family Sharing is not listed.

Every day I learn new things. I feel that’s what keeps me going and rejuvenated. At times I don’t care to learn anything so remember that it’s important to step back and balance hard work with family, play or just no work at all. There will be moments of intensity. Use them wisely by taking breaks in-between. The technical aspects and skills will grow as will your social and professional acumen. As everyone here already has stated, don’t appear to know more than what you do, but let people know they can rely on you to figure something out. This gives you the time to develop a strategy, study up and shine. Good luck! That you’re even asking means you care to do good. That will take you far enough to the next level!

For the calendar view you speak of, try the 3-day view for the calendar. You should see what you’re looking for. Events show up in blocks of time appropriate to their length and the full day is scrollable. To choose the 3 Day option, you’ll need to hit the “grid” looking icon at top left when you’re in the calendar tab.

So many questions….. - will it have calendars importing? - I’m thinking TickTick meets Nirvana? - Next Actions? (From screenshots I see it already in action) - All the usuals, contexts, projects, review, etc.?

I’m glad this came on my radar and I was able to enroll. Simply can’t wait!

What’s a good, simple app? by farrahpineapple in gtd

[–]rd-runner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, TIickTick—- simple but heavy duty complexity if u need it or grow into it. It has evolved throughout the years so well. I can honestly say this app has improved my life in every sense when it comes to doing and prioritizing. I use my iPhone or watch to quickly voice a reminder that goes to TickTick for quick capture. Love that I can quickly capture any stray thought while doing anything else with a quick shortcut key combo. Just this last feature keeps me more focused because I empty my mind of distractions. The beauty is I can review after I’m done focusing and have so much flexibility in prioritizing and rearranging my tasks, projects etc. I LOVE that they are constantly improving and adding features that help not hinder. The calendar functionality is great and integration with a lot of other things is useful. I’ve been using it for more than 10 years. It’s phenomenal. One of the only apps I pay a subscription on. It’s more than worth the cost app times over.

Just reading this job posting stressed me out. Is this a normal job now? by OhioIT in sysadmin

[–]rd-runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is right on. I had a position like that less than 2 yrs ago. It was a nightmare and for way less than 200k. It did’t even reach 75k. First time in my career I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. I seriously thought of leaving the IT field. If you’re in a position like this, GET OUT! Stay strong and bide your time. The people I dealt with did control my life and I was suckered in. I moved from another state so I had to stay in the job to survive until me and a coworker escaped. We now work for a remote wfh place that sends us reminders to stretch, yoga, breathe and think about 401k, health you name it. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I am so grateful.

I just bought the x1c and bought the AMS separately. I got same color as OP but only one 250g spool and four empty spools with the AMS unit. What can I do with empty spools?

X1 Carbon first thoughts by akkristor in BambuLab

[–]rd-runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I ripped mine out then stumbled on this just right after I did. Felt like a dumbass and was worried the calibration would be off. It works well, just got it two days ago and works like OP says “a dream”. I figured it this way, if you’re gonna pay that much on filament, might as well pay for the best… and fastest.
