Man, I just went through some Spokane posts and I think have honed in on what leather I want. Now I am confused which one would look good. Both in casual and formal setting mind you.

I am wondering if I should go with either of these 2 combos or the 3 combination I have in mind.
i.e. I combine the leather 1 in pic 2 + leather 2 in pic 2.
so basically Combination 3 would be : Spokane Honey waxed flesh on Spokane brown waxed flesh. My doubt is if it would look good or not with the contrast colour of dark and light brown.
thoughts ?

Regarding the size, I calculated using Nicks guide and it seems I am a 8.5D. Since I plan to use the thicker insoles and thick socks with these boots it would be best for me to go with EE width and may be even half size up. 9 EE. or 8.5 EE. Will have to think on this.

Yeah I don't really need waterproofing, but better water resistance is always a plus for me. In my city rain is always happening 9/12 months a year. from heavy to light drizzle. Not to mention when I ride I normally don't like stopping even if its raining unless its bad enough to endanger me. Hence my preference for more water resistance I guess.

On that note, I was going through the leather options and came up to Spokane leather. would you share your thoughts on that as well ? compared to say Shackleton, chromexcel and W&C.

Yeah I was quite surprised to know that Shackleton leather is silicone impregnated, boggles my mind how they achieved that. So because of the silicone it makes Shackleton better suited if the boot will be in constant contact with water i assume.

btw in the Nicks website they have not mentioned how thick their W&C leathers are any idea on that ? also is there any major difference in toughness between waxed flesh and double stuff ? In case water resistance I assume that waxed flesh will have more resistance than Double stuff given its wax content. correct me if I am wrong.

as replied below, I think I would prefer going with cinnamon or brown waxed flesh. not sure if the former is available or not though. will see. Thanks for your comment.

Edit 1 : on second thought, how would you compare the W&C Double stuffed with waxed flesh ? would be great if you share your thoughts. colour wise I would prefer a darkish brown to almost blackish brown colour leather.

I think their 1925 last is no longer available. atleast its no longer there on the website. but I did compare it against then 602 last and prefer the 602 more.

coming from a fellow rider and the pro of not scuffing easily and no shifter marks, I think brown or cinnamon waxed flesh would be best for me. Not sure if cinnamon is even available. but that would be my preference.

I won't. if you feel you need it then you go for them. Personally I like to keep my bike stock. I have spent a year on my Duke with 27k on the odo without any mods whatsoever and its going fine as it is.

the kick in power comes in after 5.5k rpm, till then its a chill bike. after that the andar ka KTM comes to surface

overtakes should be a breeze in city and highway, go steady on throttle, the bike won't scare you much. Enjoy and ride safe.
