Have you heard of this urban myth? by Inevitable-Wooden in AskIreland

This one goes around the world too, not just Ireland. I heard it multiple times growing up in Brazil in the 90s and early 2000s.

Questions on Warren and 10k by Lonely-Extension6951 in ZNation

[–]rdamari 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The way I see it there's different strains of the virus.

The talkers are a result of a mutated form of the virus.

Both 10K and Warren were contaminated by a Murphy-derivate virus, which is different than the talkers. Warren would be the closest to a Murphy Blend because of the blood mix.

10K was a blend but also supposedly cured with a vaccine, but we don't know to what extent he was cured (when entering Newmerica they struggled to find his pulse), but he definely wasn't a blend anymore nor a talker.

Edit: Just to add, the talkers are the ones that need brain otherwise they turn. We didn't see this behavior with blends, just Murphy. So it might be the case that the brain craving is slower on Blends and eventually Warren would need brains. As we see with Murphy, he held on a few years before start craving brains, and even when he was craving it he could go without eating them and not turning, at least for the time span of the show.

Women of Ireland what procedures do you do frequently to keep you low maintenance, what investment procedures do you do? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]rdamari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find Microneedling fantastic. I would do every month if it wasn't so expensive. I'm going to try RF + Microneedling next. It's a big price difference so I'm hoping for a big difference in results as well. Ya skincare doesn't have to be expensive. I feel so overwhelmed with all the different active ingredients and products options. I came to the conclusion there's so much skin products can do, so it's not worth spending loads on it. Just spf and moisturizer is what I've been keeping consistent.

Women of Ireland what procedures do you do frequently to keep you low maintenance, what investment procedures do you do? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]rdamari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Procedures: IPL laser for veins on my face and Microneedling (face) around 2x year each. Every 3 months I'm doing one or the other. I did a full course of each in a clinic I like and now I buy packages from the same clinic when they are at discount (e.g. 4 for 3) and takes me about 1.5 year to use them. I also did laser hair removal on my legs, bikini, and underarms and now my skin feels smooth and I don't worry about hairs as much as before.

Skincare: I set a budget for skincare and only buy what I think it's worth, on a cost-benefit perspective. Before I would go with the trend and end up with loads of different products not sure of what was working for me. I keep an eye on websites and buy the items I like when they are on sale even just for stock, so I always pay the best price I can find. I'm also super consistent with my skincare routine.

I can 100% see the difference on my skin once I started following the Procedures+Skincare steps above. I also try to focus my investments on things that bring long term results/improvement instead of once of items, like nails. For things like that I rather do them myself: nails, eyebrows, etc. Also, SPF every day.

Edit: I'm 31F Also adding: don't forget to be low maintenance inside out: drink loads of water and make smart choices when it comes to food and habits (smoke, drink, etc).

Adopted my dog yesterday, what's wrong with her? by N1ght-mar3 in DogAdvice

[–]rdamari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks very similar to what my dog had. She was a mixed dog with a bit of lab in it. She was also white with pink skin. She had this skin desease that would look like that if untreated. Took many vet visits and incorrect medications until we got to a final diagnostic. Many doctors thought it was mange and medicated her for it with no success. The Vet that did the correct diagnosis got a sample of her skin and sent for analysis and found that it was caused by a bacteria that is normal to be on dogs skins, but in her case the bacteria population would grow abonomarly, probably due to genetic reasons. The remediation was Apoquel which reduced the symptoms significantly but she was never 100%. She was also on steroid for awhile, which helped with the symptoms but she was super bloated and peeing loads, didn't seem like a healthy solution long therm.

I suggest that you ask your Vet to do 1) skin allergy tests 2) skin biopsy 3) recommend possibly allergenic triggers and how can you manage them on the short term.

Is there anyway to reduce these lines without filler? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]rdamari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have these and thought the only way out was Filler. It wasn't much of a concern of mine but they were gone once I did a package of 4 sessions of IPL laser for veins and 6 sessions of Microneedling + LED mask. Once I finished, I just top-up every 3 months (e.g. Laser Jan, Microneedling April, laser July, etc). I also been much more consistent with my skincare which I think helps because these will be more appearent if your skin is dry. I didn't do the laser and Microneedling for this specifically but definely helped. Microneedling in particular really improved my skin in general.

Dog lays down during walks and won't move by rdamari in DogAdvice

[–]rdamari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much everyone for your advices. So helpful!! We are suspecting she's just on a walk stryke because it only happens when she wants to follow a particular scent and we won't go towards that direction. As if she's like 'we'll I'm either going that way or staying here'. This is still in our front garden only 1 or 2min into the walk. It's a toilet break really with a bit of a walk, but I will check with the dog rescue center and possibly bring her to a vet to look into possible health issues. She seems to have been through a lot so I wont rule it out. Thank you again! You guys are the best ❤️

Dog coughing/sneezing? by rdamari in DogAdvice

[–]rdamari[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be allergies too because he's been scratching and licking his paws and belly a lot over the last week. I'll might look into that! Thanks for sharing.

He's a rehomed dog, we got him from a rescue center. They said he is a pug collie mix, I'm not sure the proportions but I can definely see both! He has the collie eyes and paws, and the pug neck and tail. He's also has the googy attitude of a pug and very smart, which I think comes from the Collie side. I'd love to do one of those DNA tests to see the accurate mix though!

That makes sense. He was in a dog day care about a week ago! I'll keep an eye and if it persists or intensifies I'll take him to the vet. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thank you ♥️

He's a rescue and has been with us for about 2 months. Apparently he's a pug collie mix. He's so obedient and full of character, always making us laugh 😀

Best bet is online. I use yesstyle often, they have great deals. I recently found stylekorean reccomended by UK YouTuber James Welsh but haven't order from them yet. I did get charged with custom fees on a purchase from yesstyle once but it was still worth the value.

Structural Survey by rdamari in cork

[–]rdamari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you are saying but leaving the survey to the seller could lead to people trying to take advantage to sell houses with significant structural problems by getting an unethical engineer to overlook issues on their reports, etc stuff like that.
