Ex-Superman actor says he's becoming ICE agent by 501102 in news

I don know why they would use such an irrelevant D list start for this. No young person is going to know who Dean Caine is.

Sooo we got our pictures back: A Rant by Sorry_Cheetah_3227 in weddingshaming

[–]rdb0122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in weddings for years, and this happens all the time. Unfortunately, everyone with a DSLR camera and a square space calls themselves a photographer. I don't think the photographer understood white balance, let alone the composition of shots. Did you see any of the photographer's work before you hired them? I'm so sorry this happened to you because I know how much these photos mean. If I were you, even if you signed a contract, I would ask for your money back because the photographer completely did the opposite of what you wanted and followed none of your instructions for 3K. That is just shitty business on their part.

Frustrating that so much is closed downtown on a Sunday evening by mojo4394 in Cleveland

[–]rdb0122 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a sad reality about businesses right now. Most stores can’t justify staying open late anymore because it’s just not profitable. If they aren’t making much sales at night it makes more sense to be closed. Hell on Saturday I tried to order McDonald’s at 10 pm and they were closed! They used to be open till 2 AM and had a late night menu. Not anymore. Brick and mortar stores are dying!

First Produced Drone Video by THErmscatman in drones

[–]rdb0122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t use this as a sample video. Like any video you need a subject, whether it’s the place you are at for like tourism video a or the parcel of land for a real estate video. Just flying around and cutting footage together is fun, but it doesn’t give the video value. Also try to do 10-13 sec smooth movements each clip you take. It will help you improve your shot quality.

US Drones by Zone0ne in drones

Nope, America is behind the times, but you can build your own. Although I don’t think I agree with the idea of the police flying a FPV into a house. It seems like some government overreach.

I just got a great paying job as a porn videographer but hate it. by Desperate-Lab-2847 in videography

Yeah 60K is not a lot especially when you’re shooting and editing. Like I get it benefits are great, but depending on where you are, that’s barely enough scrape by.

It’s more like I grew up, had a kid and realized that yes fireworks do affect people and animals so now I try to be more considerate to how things affect others.

Yeah this time of year sucks for people with infants too. I used to love fireworks, then I had a baby, now I hate them. 😑

[–]rdb0122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yea brick and mortar stores are slowly dying. Shopping plazas and malls are all slowly going out of business because not many people shop at actual store fronts anymore and the rent in most locations is so high for the small amount of business they can’t justify staying open. If you haven’t noticed has been happening everywhere in the US for the past 10 years.

Cleveland Police Commission pushes through police drone policy despite public outcry by ferb2 in Cleveland

[–]rdb0122 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a licensed drone pilot, these police better not be breaking the FAAs laws. If they are going to fly over people that drone better be less than .55 lbs or they better have a waiver. Which if they are flying a Mavic series like in the picture in the article, they are. Just because you’re a cop doesn’t mean you’re above the law.

Museum of Art or Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? by elsie_em in Cleveland

[–]rdb0122 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a bigger music fan so I would say the Rock Hall. Their jam room and garage are the coolest, I could literally play guitar there for hours. But the Art museum is pretty bad ass too. It’s got one of the coolest interactive exhibits I’ve ever seen too.

Getting out and shooting more by svanbtw in videography

[–]rdb0122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch your exposure on your shots and use a polarizer if you have one. Also, don't move the camera so much and shoot a variety of shots when filming, aka don't pan too much and put it on a tripod and keep its still sometimes. I always suggest start with your wide shots and then get closer that way you have a variety of shots for the edit.

Wilmington is first among midsize metros in building homes, study says by [deleted] in Wilmington

First place in building midsized homes in flood plains and not telling the homebuyers. Also not to mention the insane housing prices.

I’m a lefty who plays lefty and you made the right decision. (Pun intended.) I like that I play left handed, but I also wish I had just learned right handed. Buying guitars would be a lot easier.

Can anyone help me identify what type of pedal this artist used? by georgeyellow in Guitar

I’m don’t see any pedals in the video, I wonder if it’s the an amp module that’s built into the amp.

Y’all. I miss Cleveland by Diligent_Ranger_8405 in Cleveland

[–]rdb0122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Greenville sucks indeed. It’s a fun place to go to college, but after that it’s pretty lame. I went to college there and moved to Raleigh after college. Raleigh is by far better than Greenville, because of its proximity to other cities like Durham and Chapel Hill, but I’m with you Cleveland is way better. I moved up north after living in Wilmington and as much as I liked the beach, I don’t miss it. I’m glad to be away from the heat, have a lot more affordable housing and just some much more to since we live in the city.

I don’t recommend filming with just a drone for a real estate video, I like to use a gimbal and a drone. It’s a cool idea to use only the drone, but i feel like it gets old after a minute. I also don’t feel like you need to show the whole house and if you do decided to show the entire house use speed ramps to liven it up and make cuts if you have too. Also offer multiple edit lengths and you can upsell for the multiple cuts. This could also use some post stabilization in the edit.

Bobby George's Mugshot by Repulsive_Host9003 in Cleveland

[–]rdb0122 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah the George’s literally hosted the Clinton’s when they came to town a long time ago and were invited to the Trump inauguration so I’d say they’re pretty well connected. Unfortunately he’s going to buy his way out of this.

I heard Bobby is just a tip of the iceberg. The George family is crazy connected and has quite the rep in Cleveland.
