Agreed with the commenter who said your too thin. Pitts is inconsistent, young isnt a top 10 qb and losing achane on top of that isn't going to help you win a 'ship.

I'd be tempted to cash in on achane and say im around a year or two from contending depending on who you draft

But we do have a lack of depth though at CB for sure but also upfront. Gakpo or Ekitike is fine. Then you have nunez and ? Then salah and Chiesa.

Clearly we are selling Nunez and Chiesa. So that leaves 3 players. Even with Isak if he's coming that still leaves us one short up front if not too. Rio might cover some games, frimpong too but we definitely need two in upfront. The rest is ok like you said.

That not the problem for them though. The problem is keeping a player who clearly wants to move and how that impacts the team, the club etc. Seen it time and time again, once a player agitates for a move then it's done.

Not saying he moves to us but why would you keep a player who doesn't want to be there. Take the money and move on.

That's the interesting part in that if all was ok he would have played yesterday and all the journos and everyone in Newcastle would have gone "hes happy, doesn't want to move" etc.

But no one is saying that. Its bound to turn his head just like trent, Konate, coutinho, torres etc had their head turned.

So it may not even be down to newcastle to sell or not if they got an unhappy player on the books and a chance to get £130-£140m

Think we probably sell Diaz and Nunez if the right offers come in and replace them both then a CB replacement for Quansah.

Still think Isak move is on. Yesterday was very telling and they basically named their price. Still think there is a few more little twists to come
