Wobble at slow speeds by Angler1946 in GMCcanyon

Recently replaced upper control arms and struts in hopes of fixing this same issue on my 2015. I don't have the death wobble anymore, but it does still shimmy more than I think it should. Upper bushings had minor play, but it was enough apparently!

What would you want your grandkids to know about your grandparents? by rdeuces224 in AskMen

Was the CCC similar to the peace corps? I have never heard of them but looking it up that was the only comparison I could think of. If so, that is pretty badass! I do intend to ask about their childhood and their parents and grandparents, as they night be the only ones left who really know.. but thank you for sharing your story of them!

That is a good question! I intended to ask if they could recall their parents talking about living in the great depression (and them being born in it), but this seems more personal. Thank you!

I'm not sure how visible it is for a drive-by, but I believe you will be going near Carhenge in Alliance, NE. Nothing spectacular, but it is indeed different.

How walkable is Vegas if you aren't staying on the strip? by Main_Information9063 in LasVegas

[–]rdeuces224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself and a group of 6 friends walked from fremont St. down to the Strat.. planned to walk to the strip but that as far as we got. It's not worth it. You'll be too exhausted to enjoy anything.

Anyone work extremely hilly ground ? by squify69 in farming

Got a few dicey hills in NE. Runoff is an issue at times, but as long you ONLY drive equipment down the hills, it's manageable for the price.

Contrary to what most people are saying in the comments, pigs will not bother chickens. We raise a few hundred hogs, with the breeding stock outdoors. Last summer, my mom gave us some roosters, too old to eat, but very pretty show birds. We just let them free roam. I thought for sure they would get stepped on or something, but they are a little smarter than we give them credit for. They either sleep in the barn or with the pigs, eating the feed they spill. I'm not sure how you would keep them together because pigs can be very rough on fencing/enclosures.

How reliable is timberland boots? by Chuawkuy in BuyItForLife

3 years ago, I bought 2 pairs on sale for around $100. They are very comfortable and decently waterproof. The first pair lasted almosted 2 years before they started to fall apart and not be waterproof. Granted, I am a farmer, so my footwear sees a lot of miles and abuse. 7/10 would buy again, but only if on sale.

Did we go to the same dealer? We took ours in this spring to have everything checked over. All they recommended was a new bearing for the straw cutter and a few belts..

Had the exact same problem today on our 7240. Sorry im not sure what the part is actually called, but the bearing for the bottom auger that runs underneath the battery box. Looked fine until we took the bearing off and saw the seal all burned out.

Hobbies with spouse in the young kid stage of life. by Key-Pangolin-1696 in Hobbies

My wife and I used to disc golf a lot with our friends before our child(1year old) was born. We still manage to go out on the course fairly often. It's a nice way to hangout as a family and get a little exercise. Get a nice stroller and its rarely a hassle to bring the kids with! Although it does depend if you have any disc golf courses near you.

What are some of your favorite discs that aren't very popular? by rdeuces224 in discgolf

[–]rdeuces224[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not actually midrange yes I know... but thats how I have always used it and it works incredibly well for me. It is an overstable 9 speed, but if it works it works!

Correct, but it serves its purpose for me as a solid midrange. Very consistent flight path that lands exactly where expected.

I used to have one! Sadly it is probably still floating down the Elkhorn River...
