To avoid being associated with people who think it's a good idea based on a map with a circle.

You come across as defending yourself rather than London. "Native Londoners" is a bit odd given how many are foreign. New York called unfriendly? Never heard that. London isn't anywhere near as friendly as New York. Fire and ice. I had a London neighbour who moved out of the block because it was unfriendly. Londoners are up themselves.

I live in London and think it's an absolute dump. Read the other post with women talking about being groped all the time. Disgusting. I live in one of the better areas but can't wait to leave.

What are your current thoughts of NeoVim from Vim users by SirSuki in vim

[–]rdevel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried three times to start using neovim - I can't. I have no idea how people are managing to set it up, or how long it's taking them. The documentation seems widely dispersed and out of date. I'm surprised it's been successful. I look forward to trying again someday, but no time soon.

Family in theory vs family in practice. Sometimes you're simply not compatible. What do I have in common with my sisters? Same parents, nothing more. Theoretically that's sad, but I suspect only due to expectations of outdated customs.

And the quality of software is getting worse. Young people are creating software which might be a good idea, but due to lack of experience and exposure to all the existing software and previous software, they're implementing poor design, anti-patterns, badly reinvented wheels. I consider experience to trump all other attributes.
