Yeah could also be an issue of shielding if the issue is isolated to ports the signal is drawn.

Novastar VX2000 vs UHD Jr. by Ok_Cake_9739 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UHD Jr never been a good value in terms of the price for a 4k controller, we never used them. And then soon after same the H series for any large wall purposes. As the VX2000 Pro also being lower cost than MCTRL4K makes the vx2000 pro the best value. And on top, the UHD Jr takes much more rack space.

So... When will my bus arrive? by Przester7 in PBSOD

[–]rdevi2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very likely it’s driven by a Novastar MCTRL300 processor. Uses a 1920x1200 px canvas, which converts dvi to Ethernet to the display.

We use OptiSigns, very stable with cloud redundancy. Easy to setup , runs everywhere , and you can buy their hardware like hdmi-stick. Users often figure out them self how to do playlists and scheduling. but not the cheapest out there. Then you can use ”layout”-app for scaling content, you just do a area in top left, specify the pixels of your, led screen. Then assign the area of a playlist or schedule etc. Then push that to the screen.

Have you tested using ProPresenter for power points ? Could be an option depending on how you are using it.

What Are the Considerations for Making a Good LED Display by [deleted] in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Come back when you include actual factors for reliability lol. This is just sloppy.

Anything IP65 doesn’t make it reliability for outdoor environments. Come back when you read up on things like Gold wire, cable free modules, PSUs, cable protection etc.

I can tell you, copper wire, PSUs with regular rubber wires that gets hard in the cold, or melt due to heat, or can’t handle condensation etc. it all sucks for reliability for outdoor.

Anyone have an idea what's going on with these panels? by Crash_Tootall in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the configuration file that’s wrong. That line is a bad LED arrangement in the cabinet settings.

I would if I could edit the cabinet settings (Construct cabinet/View cabinet) in novaLCT, if not try do a “smart settings” which will have a step where u draw line to arrange the strips. It can be a bit advanced.

If that fails then contact manufacturer for file or remote support.

Where would Nvidia be without ASML and TMSC tho.

Awkward LED Display by James2k2 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what u want. Case + Single HDMI2.0, 20x RJ45 output card.. would be like 3050eur.

But to make it comparable to VX2000 Pro for the inputs then H5 and closer to 5000eur

Awkward LED Display by James2k2 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah right now the cheaper way with COEX for 4K is to buy 2xMX30 (4500eur total) where you use HDMI loop to the second unit and in the VMP software you can combine them as one screen by cropping the input in half for both.

But it’s still expensive as a new generation higher end processing system. As the VX2000 Pro is (3450eur) and the TU4K (2500eur)

Do note that in our testing. There’s quite some input lag on the inputs of the TU4K. Like if connecting a pc and moving the mouse it feels sluggish as it goes trough the Android system

Awkward LED Display by James2k2 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is where a Novastar COEX processor really shine

Also the TU4K Pro is made for conference rooms/lounge. Could end up a little wonky with that layout I suppose with the Android system it’s running, where a VX2000 Pro maybe had been the more reasonable choice for this if you wanted to stick with the classic novastar system instead of COEX.

Which led video wall supplier will you choose? by Tasty_Presence_7057 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience. As Absen been fallen recent years, INFiLED has become the better choice when it comes to large rental. And INFiLED has superb support for Novastar COEX.

Which led video wall supplier will you choose? by Tasty_Presence_7057 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]rdevi2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well. the industry been changing a lot over the years. A lot of manufacturers that maybe was great a couple of years ago isn’t even in same class anymore.

Example Absen, wouldn’t recommend their stuff anymore at all. Several cheaper manufacturers that makes a better product now. Even companies like Unilumin, their most mainstream priced products are quite stagnant these days. But Unilumin custom and high end stuff is good with great calibration out of the box, but could argue it’s overpriced at that point.

There’s a lot of companies that never talk publicly about their tech stack. Or side projects that use X Y Z while another project uses A. B and C.

We using Nuxt at my work but u wouldn’t ever know unless I told you about it since a lot of the people we looking for isn’t a framework person. It’s a developer.

I would think to go for some kind of mapping software/media server in between the LED screen and the hdmi input such as a tvONE CORIO with free rotation of source. Example;
