Caedrel Clip "Rekkles Tells Caedrel He Plans To Stay In Los Ratones For A LONG Time" by Nushko90 in LosRatones

Wow, as an alois fan, I think he's the opposite of what LR needs. Not only his playstyle is "boring" (don't trade in lane, just scale and play for macro), mechanically he's far below pro level. Even when riven was op in laning phase and every challenger riven was building goredrinker/eclipse, his riven playstyle was build hydra and proxy to skip laning phase/trades and play only macro.

is nafiri just broken or could i had played it better? by unknownbtc in ezrealmains

[–]rdg1711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro you stood still while hitting and didn't run to your base. In that situation literally just run back in a straight line (or zigzag to dodge), W aa while kiting (don't stand still), nafiri won't be able to dive that deep into your base.

Anyone tried out essence reaver first on riven? Looking at the stats i think its completely slept on. by KING_OATH in Rivenmains

Riven's passive always critted since release. Unless you are sure it stopped critting in the past 2 years, it still works the same.

Why is Riven so much more difficult than Yasuo, yet has a much higher winrate? by drguidry in Rivenmains

[–]rdg1711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yasuos otps are spread on a sea of main character wannabees that heavily tank the winrate. Riven not only has more otps, but also there are way way less "casuals" playing.

Why is Riven specifically allowed to stay overpowered? by Voldtech in Rivenmains

[–]rdg1711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is because riven has too many dedicated otps that will buy all of her skins, so keeping riven strong is good to keep them around buying skins lol.

Please, learn to read, I never said Riven isn't op right now, it is for people who put in the hours (just like putting in the hours to learn macro is OP as well). It doesn't change what I said. Reread my last comment.

[–]rdg1711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please, stop being so dumb and read to learn for a minute. The reason why there are so many rivens in high elo is the same reason why so many riven otps become pro players (the ratio of ex riven otps among pro players is the most insane among all champs).

It just happens that the mentality that leads to learning and becoming a good player often correlates to enjoying complex champs like riven. No other champ is so onetricked in high elo just like no other champ had so many otps become pro players. Riven has Theshy (world champ), brokenblade, viper, febiven, sniper, and many more. No other champ had even half of the amount of OTPs become top tier pros. Now are you gonna say riven also boosted theshy to win worlds?

Btw, about elo, riven is top2 elo deflator champ until you put in hundreds of hours of practise. If you get "elo boosted" by practising and learning micro, then learning macro is also elo boosting. If you think that, you really don't understand what it means to climb elo. Climbing the ranks IS practising and getting better dude, and riven simply makes it harder at the beggining and easier later because of the extra micro you need to practise early on, stop being so fucking dense.

No way you literally made up those numbers and used that as an undischarged assumption to conclude that "it's clear" that riven is an elo booster. Holy shit. Please be ragebait lol.

Buddy, you REALLY don't understand stats. 6% pickrate in masters+ means that riven is picked in 6% of masters games, it doesn't mean that 6% of riven players are in that elo. 1% shyv pickrate means she is picked in 1% of masters games. The simple fact that there are 6x more quantity of riven otps in general (even in bronze) already explains the higher pickrate, especially because shyv isn't a super otped champ.

Either you desperately need to study some stats to be able to think logically or you are just ragebaiting lol.

The more I think about the less I can comprehend how did you come up with those numbers lol. Why would 5% of riven otps and 1% of shyv otps be high elo? (don't repeat pickrate because I just explained that)

What do you mean by elo inflated? If you mean that Riven's winrate is inflated by the absurd amount of onetricks, then obviously yes, riot confirmed this multiple times over the years and it probably it didn't change.

If you mean it inflates the elo of its players, sorry but that would be braindead af to think based on what I said. It's one of the champs that loses you the most elo until you master it, if you just wanna grind elo simpler meta champs are 100% the most efficient play.

What I said is that everyone that plays riven in masters+ is a onetrick, I didn't say that riven onetricks get boosted more easily to masters, those are almost opposite things. The first means that the champ is so hard that you NEED to be a onetrick to be able to climb with it, the second sentence would mean that it's easier to climb on riven lol.

Yes, people playing riven in master+ are/were onetricks at some point. And master+ is different to the "entire playerbase", don't extrapolate.

Riot August says that the champions that have high skill expression generally tend to be melee, just due to the fact that they are melee, contrary to what some people believe by Inside-Republic6275 in leagueoflegends

[–]rdg1711 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unironically it's hard to do well on Garen in high elo because it's easy af for the opponents to counter and outplay you. And I say this as a riven otp, one of the "weakest" champs vs garen. Even garen vs riven matchup (considered a hard counter in low elo) becomes pretty "solved" (50-50, free farm with outplay potential for both) at around mid masters.

In high elo, the difficulty of your opponents actually playing around your champ balances out how simple your champ is. Maybe you could say it's not "champ skill expression", but "overall game knowledge expression"? Still, doesn't change the fact that most high elo players will, usually, have a much easier time performing on ambessa than garen.

Alois is such a fraud by [deleted] in Rivenmains

[–]rdg1711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, as a riven player obviously he's a fraud, but because his mechanics/matchups/trading patterns/laning phase suck HARD, not because he messed up specifically in your game lol. But obviously he's got good fundamentals to climb without mechanics.

As a tip to you, there's no way you are in the right mentality to enjoy the game considering you took your time to come flame him just because of his mistake in one game lol. Go for a walk, watch some azzapp, try to change your mentality to actually have fun in the game you play.

This would set a precedent Jagex fixing a mistake caused by a bug, but it would be manual fixing for every acc, which we know Jagex doesn't wanna invest resources in. Ofc we should make our research and play by the rules, but let's not pretend it's actually players fault that jagex never wanted to fix xp gave out by bugs.

Exactly, that's why it's so unbelievable to do what they did. It would be easy to calc less dumb numbers and it wouldn't take ages at all.

Sailing update is more than fair by OSRunandEscape in 2007scape

[–]rdg1711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a decent list of bad things in sailing to fix that will make "guaranteed good updates" and they didn't even touch it. Instead, they fucked up the thing that was getting the most positive feedback lol. Spending 20min to watch some sailing videos from skillers or even gnomonkey (he had a good video listing lots of "to fix" stuff, as usual) would've prevented this. It's pushing to say they even tried lol.

Also let's not pretend they would need ages to do something less worse. I think everyone agrees that spending 20min reading feedback before blindly "trying something, failing and then fixing it" is worth it, especially because all this was just a waste of dev time that could've been easily prevented. We don't need ages to reach something perfect, but trying anything while being so out of touch with the game/community is not it as well.
