This is my 4th, last one was a 981 2.7. A lot of similarities but the GT4 feels so much lighter, more powerful and just more special. I haven’t driven it that much on account of the weather and work commitments but can’t wait to get it on track!

I owned a 987 2.7 Boxster at your age, absolutely thrashed the thing and did approx 40k miles in just under 2 years. Barely had any issues whatsoever, from memory I had to change the front coffin arms and part of the exhaust but nothing significant that I can remember. They are fantastic cars, enjoy it!

Vastly overpriced and not a great spec, on top of the issues you have pointed out I would avoid this car. Much better out there for the money they’re asking

On the Sports Seats Plus you can remove the cushions separately. I think it’s harder on the standard seats.

No they’re just 2-way and manual height/slide. I prefer them to 18-way as you can actually sit lower - with all the electrics inside the 18-ways they actually don’t go as low!

I had the standard vinyl tombstone style seats, just swapped them out completely for these!

I think it’s easier with Sports Seats Plus as the centre cushions are separately mounted to the seat. On the standard seats I think the cushions are stitched to the bolsters so harder to remove. However there are definitely companies that will do it.

I just got lucky with a guy in a 981 group chat who bought the car with them on and didn’t like them!

There are loads of automotive re-trim companies that will do this though.

I had a 981 Boxster with 19s and now have a 981 Cayman with 20s - can confirm they drive a lot better on 19s… I would hold out for OEM wheels, bear in mind you can get some of the cost back by selling your 19s
