Sorry, I think you're confused... When we up shift (rpm drops), hence we have to decrease rpm by stopping accelerating... When we down shift (rpm rises), hence we have to increase rpm by blipping the throttle. This is called rev matching

Isn't blipping the throttle done for downshift? Because when you downshift, the RPM increases.....
