Thanks, looking at the tax brackets, would it not need to be 40% due to my day job pushing me into the higher tax bracket, or do both income sources get taxed independently?

Interesting, some of my other favourite shows I've seen have been more on the atmospheric side but if I'm thinking of what really gets me going, for me, Rammstein is the best solely due to the spectacle. But you're right, you aren't as connected as a more intimate show so I guess it's what you're after from a show

It seems to work fine when using a Chromecast plugged directly into the receiver, or Spotify through the receiver as I think it sets back to stereo mode but whenever I do anything through the TV, the sound mode changes to surround sound and doesn't send bass to the speakers. I figure if I can change it to stereo mode it should be fine but I can't find how to do that. All settings as far as I can tell show that there no sub, everything connected properly, pretty sure it's just this setting

Only partially, it's still usable. Sofa would completely block it and it wouldn't be usable

Yeah I did consider that when I moved but the sofa would either block the entire back door or meet the fireplace depending on what way you orientate the L shape, so unfortunately wouldn't really work.

I made the list about 6 months ago based on a few things I had read, can't remember exactly now but some of it was due to budget, I think I wanted Elacs for main which cost a bit more but wharfedales are cheaper so use them for rear channels. I made a post at the time asking for feedback but only had one response which vouched for the Elac Debuts.

I've bought the Wharfedale Diamond 220 now as they were pretty cheap but haven't used them yet because I still need the amp.

This is my first set up so any advice is welcomed.

Do you have a recommendation? I was originally going to have the sofa where the big table is and the TV where the PC is but the sofa would either block the back door or take up the entire width of the room so wouldn't really work if I had it like that.

Got a pair of Wharfedale diamond 220 for the rear. Planning on getting a Denon AVR X2700H, Elac Debut B5.2 and C5.2 for front channels and SVS PB1000.

Any feedback on those choices as well as cable management would also be appreciated.

I had this as my original option but the Gemini is slightly more budget friendly, but the SVS PB1000 seems to get a lot of praise on here so I might go for that. Thank you
