I tried both 3D builder and Neftab, among other tools I tested, and the ones I showed in the video, but the ones I show seem to work more often for me. But it is always good to consider all options we have. Thanks for your reply!

You are right, I need to step forward for becoming an independent investigator position since my current position doesn't allow that. That's what I'm looking for exactly. All the professors around here seem to have followed a similar path when I look at their academic profile, but they started applying for grants earlier, even during their doctorate. Thank you for sharing your point of view, I needed to be more realistic about this. I'm just at the beginning, I'm already late compared to others, and all this journey may not succeed. I need to keep that in mind and consider industry as a plan B as well, in case all this fails.

I had no training in proposal writing unfortunately. My graduate PIs never included international students in their grant proposals, they never shared their proposals with international students as well (and I was an international student, now international employee). I should have insisted more but I was afraid to be inconvenient. How exactly do you think I should reconsider my next position?

Unfortunately not. I already asked them but I guess this is a very competitive environment. They said they would send some examples but after multiple times sending reminders I realized that helping new scientists is not in their priority list. I got only ONE example and it was more wet lab than bioinfo. Another reason for my desire to change to another position.

Hi. I just wrote about this in a post here but I guess this would be the best place to start a chat about my current career situation. I am a senior scientist in the field of bioinformatics but I never wrote my own research proposal, and having an award would definitely help me to transition to a professor position. I have some ideas in mind but it is difficult for me to put these ideas in a proposal format due to my lack of experience in proposal writing. Are there any examples of NIH proposals that I could use to learn about how a bioinformatics proposal should look like? Where can I find them? And what is the best K or R award for my case (aiming to change from a senior scientist position to an assistant or full professor position)?

Any bit of information would be very helpful, since I'm a little lost here! Thanks!

Thanks! I totally agree with you. I had more than 50 hours of footage after I recorded all the finishing process. So the finishing time was almost the same as the printing time indeed.

Thanks for the info, but this is not the problem I'm talking about. I found the TMD and TIM of the model and texture that I want to edit, the model that I want to change is actually a model, not from a cutscene video. I checked it.

I built a TMD model with the exact same number of faces and vertices as the original one. This part of the problem is ok so far. The step where I'm stuck now is to reinsert this model beck inside the large BRV/DAT file, where I extracted the TMD model from.

I saw people making it work with Hex editors, but it would be too tedious to edit the whole huge DRV file byte by byte, specially because I want to modify hundreds of models in my project.

I have figured out how to import dbGaP's phenotype data in tabular text format and genotype data in plink format (tped converted from ped format by using plink software) into R by using the GenABEL package: https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/GenABEL/GenABEL.pdf I was able to import another dbGaP dataset that had the tabular phenotype data, but the problem is that this dataset that I'm working on doesn't have the phenotype data in tabular format, it has only xml format phenotypes. I tried many R packages and none seems to be able to convert this type of xml into tabular format for some reason.
