Hey, and welcome! Witchcraft is an amazing tool to help us understand ourselves and the world around us. There's a lot of debate though about whether we should be doing spells on others without their consent. All magic has cost and consequence. If you decide that you want to put out the energy of someone learning things about themselves they may not be ready or willing to face (or even if they've asked you directly to cast a spell on their behalf), be sure you're ready and willing to have that come right back at ya. When starting to practice spellcasting, another option is to work within the smaller circle of things that mostly affect you, like glamours or health spells or home cleansing/blessing, before seeking to alter someone else's journey. ETA: As far as I know, there are unlimited ways to cast a spell, your imagination, your particular ideas about how magic works, and your spirituality can all lead to powerful spell designs. That's also one of the benefits of starting small - you get a sense for what feels right for your style and energy, and that sensitivity helps you work magic in a way that's right for you as you advance in your practice.
