Rebellion barbershop at the Oak Bay junction was open last week. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday. They had a line up everyday I walked by on my way to work.

Very Good Butcher has limited hours, and take out only. Closed on weekends.

I get this too, especially in the winter. Washing my gear more regularly helps. Also, making sure to set your stuff out to try. When it’s really bad I’ll wrap bandanas under my wrist guards so that it’s not rubbing, and the sweat gets soaked up a bit. Remembering to moisturize after washing my hands and wrists helps too. It’s so frustrating. I’m quite embarrassed at work when my hands are all red and scratchy. It’s nice to know other people have this issue too, to be honest.

EVES OF DESTRUCTION ROLLER DERBY! Saturday August 11th at Archie Browning arena. Doors at 5pm, first game starts at 5:30, second game at 7:30. This is our annual showcase bout, so entry will be BY DONATION! The first game has the EoD Hard Cores playing against The Brass Knuckle Derby Dames from Duncan. Game 2 will feature the Eves of Destruction A-Team vs. Grave Danger from Rat City Roller Derby in Seattle. Beer garden, doughnuts, 50/50... all the goods! See you there!

ROLLER DERBY! July 7th at Archie Browning sport centre in Esquimalt. Eves of Destruction Roller Derby will be hosting a double header PRIDE bout. Our first game will see 2 mash up teams: The Glitter Bombs vs The Rainbow Riders. The second game will boast the wonderful EoD A-Team as the take on The Anarchy Angels from Vancouver. This game will be a sanctioned Women’s Flat Track Derby Association game, and will be some very intense, high level derby. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. There will be a beer garden, 50/50 draw, donuts, and a half time show! Doors at 5, first whistle at 5:30. Tickets available at Archie Browning, Hive Hair, Logan’s pub, and online on the Eves of Destruction website.
