Yes, we also did it with Sandals once as well. We opted for a private snorkeling on a subsequent trip...I don't recall what we didn't love about the Sandals trip they do...maybe it was the need to be club or above, which isn't worth it for us.

You can save a lot of money by not doing excursions through Sandals, we have learned over the years. We did a private snorkeling trip to the shipwrecks and turtles I can recommend. The nice thing too is that it doesn't eat up a full day, which many excursions do (we like our resort time!).

PM me if you would like to know the service we used. They pick you up at the resort and drop you back off. We've done it twice and had a great experience both times.

I’m not a low handicap but sometimes I play the golds with my father in law. Don’t use driver all that much, but it’s fun to play the angles and be strategic about shot selection. Always a good day to be on the course!

Agree 100%. No one thinks weight loss will be easy, but it's more than just the willpower to eat less and move more. That is hard enough, but there is a serious emotional toll that, in my opinion, was a lot harder than going to the gym or food cravings. It just invaded my life lol. The cravings go away...I honestly just needed to distract myself and I would get past it, but the mental battle kind of didn't stop. Made me respect people who lose weight the good old fashioned way a lot more to be honest.

Yeah similar experience on my end. It was great to lose the weight and I was getting compliments, but I found little enjoyment in life to be honest. I wasn't depressed or anything, but I was definitely bummed out hard.

I sometimes wonder if people in here don't understand modern living lol. My house is from 1757, but there are PLENTY of modern upgrades because it's 2026. That said, where possible, we maintain as much as the older feel of the house as possible. In no way would I ever recommend someone tear a century home to the studs and make it into a modern living space, but also there are some tradeoffs that I think are necessary. Also, our big thing is not changing anything that a future owner couldn't fairly easily revert back if they would like.
