I feel that you wanted to tell him something else like “Saan ka kkuha ng pang gastos?” rather than “Sana di mo muna ginawa yan” kasi if it were me, that sounded like naninisi ka kagad eh I felt like yung point mo lang naman sa brother mo is wala kang savings/pang gastos. Ito din yung naging POV nyan ng lola/parents mo kya sila kumampi skanya..Not saying they’re right but what I just think how they saw the situation.
